v0.2 Sneak Peek

v0.2 Progress Report - UI Improvment

Work on v0.2 is continuing and going well so far. I've spent tonight doing art for a number of UI elements. I've scrapped the blue-to-red gradient main menu from v0.1  (Because honestly, it was pretty ugly) and replaced the standard Ren'py start menu with a hexagonal button design. I've decided to standardise the UI around a grey and blue colour scheme and produced a number of UI images for them that are looking nice. More LR2 Clothing and Patron Reward Information

Yesterday I put a batch of new clothing through the renderer and got them implemented in game. The goal was to provide a wider range of relatively normal clothes for constructing outfits. There are some clipping problems I'll have to take care of and re-render to fix in the future, but they're looking pretty good for now.

Emotion Examples - Facial Feature Progress

The last few days have been spent working on the rendering and automation side of Lab Rats 2, designing and implementing the system that will let me create facial sets for all of the girls. Lab Rats 2 v0.1.0 Release Date!

Lab Rats 2 is at a stage now that I feel confident sharing it with the general public. This Friday night (Jan 12th) Lab Rats v0.1.0 will be released to $5 patrons for bug testing and general feedback. A week after (Jan 19th) the public version v0.1.1 will be released to everyone for free.

Now that Lab Rats 2 is approaching it's first official public release version I think it's time I laid out my plans for patron rewards.

New Clothing Items and a Progress Update

I've been doing more work on Lab Rats 2 and got a few new clothing items added into the game. Above we have the new pink thong, suit pants, two piece dress, sweater, and sneakers. That'll help me round out a set of outfits for the first version of the game and make sure there's a good amount of randomization.

Hey everyone, I'm officially back on the clock now and already hard at work on LR2 again. On Christmas Break, Back Dec 27th

Lab Rats 2 Work Update

Just a quick update tonight to summarize some of the stuff I've been working on the last few nights. Here's a quick rundown of what's been done:

I was able to sit down and devote a big chunk of time to working on Lab Rats 2 today and made some good progress. LR2 Sneak Peak: Comparing New versus Old

My automation script turned out the first batch of rendered images from my new rendering platform - Daz Studio - last night. I've got a set of clothing scenes I'll set to render tonight and will trim up tomorrow and get inserted into my working prototype so that I can show off the same models but dressed. Lab Rats 2 Progress

I've been working on image set generation for Lab Rats 2 over the last couple of days, specifically implementing a render automation script in Daz which should make my life a whole lot easier.
