The last few days have been spent working on the rendering and automation side of Lab Rats 2, designing and implementing the system that will let me create facial sets for all of the girls. That system is now completely in place and implemented. Best of all, the system is almost completely automated, all I have to do is design a facial expression in Daz, render it out, and it's ready for use in LR2.
Emotions in Lab Rats 2 are currently being used in two ways. First, they are used for a characters default resting pose. A character with high happiness will use a happy image, a character with low happiness will use a sad image, and somewhere in the middle they'll use the neutral image. Second, the emotions can be called to override the resting state, letting a section of dialogue have a character switch to an angry expression, then switch back a few lines later.
Now that I have the rendering system in place I'm going to start expanding the library of emotions I have represented in the game. Some of the obvious ones I have on my to do list is "Aroused" and "Climaxing", for use in sex scenes. Let me know if you have any other ones that you think should be included!
