Lab Rats 2 Progress: Outfit Sluttiness Restrictions

I was able to sit down and devote a big chunk of time to working on Lab Rats 2 today and made some good progress. In particular I've finished the initial system for evaluating how "Slutty" a given outfit is, which in turn determines how high a girls sluttiness score needs to be before she'll wear it. The current system breaks down like this:

(Note: Girls sluttiness scores start at or near 0 and range up to 100)

First, we check to see if the outfit has anything at all on the top and bottom. Being completely naked from the waist down or waist up increases the sluttiness requirement by 40 each (So having a girl go completely naked requires a sluttiness score of 80).

Not wearing a bra or panties with an outfit increases it's sluttiness requirement by 10 each, while wearing a bra or panties as the outer layer increases the requirement by 20 each. If a girls tits or pussy is completely visible despite the clothing the requirement increases by 20 each again, and if their tits or pussy are easily used despite the clothing there's a final 20 point increase. This collection of stats results in clothing sets that range from 0 sluttiness requirements (Everything is properly covered) to 80 (They're basically naked anyways).

In addition to those calculations each piece of clothing has it's own sluttiness value that is added to the final requirement for the outfit. Most normal pieces of clothing have a value of 0, but clothing that is meant to be alluring, like fishnet stockings or tiny thongs, have a higher value. Some outfits may end up being considered sluttier than if the girl was just naked (say, a "Cumslut" collar and bright red thigh highs with nothing else on).

Girls will also now check the state of their outfit after you have sex with them and strip them down. If their current outfit is too slutty for them they will change into something fresh from their wardrobe. Otherwise they will be quite happy to go about their day with their clothing in disarray. Overall I'm happy with how the clothing system is shaping up so far and how it's interacting with the rest of Lab Rats 2.

Hmm, that sounds like a solid idea. I'll have to play around with the clothing slutiness calculations to make sure they're working well and make sense.

Some IRL intuition: going about with no bottom on is about 90% as slutty as being naked. Maybe the sluttiness score should be sub-additive? Idea: assign a sluttiness value to individual clothing items AND to individual body parts, slut score is ln (sum_x e^x). Treat nipples as visible if they are not behind a bra or thick shirt. This satisfies a bunch of intuitions: - wearing only fishnets and/or mesh gloves is slightly sluttier than being naked; - if you're otherwise fully dressed, not wearing a bra is significantly sluttier than wearing one; - wearing a g-string with normal clothes is sluttier, but wearing only a g-string instead of being naked is *less* slutty; - ...

This system can be expanded upon to add 'Personalities' to individuals. Eg a person can have favorite colors, colors they hate, styles of clothing, etc etc. Could add flavor to randomly generated characters. This can help ensure more unique individuals in the game (eg you would generate X characters for each personality). Definitely not something for MVP though.

It is very loosely a continuation of LR1, set after the events of the first game. If you don't play LR1 you won't be missing out on much, except for a few character references.

I'm planning on putting out a tech demo version to high level patrons within a week (Probably $10+, because the art book additions are slowing down now that LR1 is done and I want to give them a few perks). It won't really be a game, since there will be no written content, no goals, and tons of WIP place holder things. A proper v0.1 is farther off, maybe three weeks or so, because I want to have a relatively polished product to show people that clearly shows off where work will be going in the future.

So one question I have. Is LR2 going to be a new version of LR1 or a continuation of LR1?

I would like to ask when would we see and try the first release of Lab Rats 2 , because your posts about the new project makes me keep waiting your game really excited. Do you have a point, a day in mind when you would like to try to post the first release of the new project?

Every time i read your dev post about the new project im getting more and more hyped.
