Plans for v0.2

v0.1 is out and available to everyone now, which means it's time to start the next development cycle. While v0.1 was focused on getting a minimum amount of content out for the game, v0.2 is going to focus on refining that content and the way it's delivered. Here are some key things I'm going to tackle for v0.2:

* Facial expressions. A few tweaks to my rendering setup and a few hours of work should get this working from a technical side of things. Then it's just a matter of mapping different expressions to combinations of traits like happiness, sluttiness, and arousal.

* Menu design. Most of the UI in LR2 right now is standard Ren'py stuff. I want to take the time to customize it all and focus in on a cohesive style for the entire game.

* More character interactions, more basic content. Adding more words of dialogue, more character personalities, and more ways to interact with people will make characters feel more unique and dynamic.

* Character accessories. Adding in accessories like earings, bracelets, and other minor details will give me more tools in the character creator to both recreate old characters, and design good looking new ones.

* Expanded clothing options. Adding in more pieces of clothing is a simple way of expanding the game, but I also to experiment with a few other ideas I've had. One of the key ones I want to look at is recolouring clothing inside of Renpy (rather than during rendering) to let players define colours for different pieces of clothing.

So that's what I'll be working on over the next few weeks. I'll be putting up regular updates every two or three days with progress reports, and some work in progress screenshots for patrons.

It's ever too early to ask good questions! Adding the MC to the scenes is something I'll be doing once I start rendering the proper sex positions, which I haven't started yet. The most likely form is going to be a simple ghost outline, which players can change the opacity of.

Clicking directly on the destination is something I want to implement, but I wanted to get a quick version done for v0.1.1 because it was such a requested feature. It's a tiny bit more math to ensure there's a path between you and your destination and to figure out the shortest route once I implement the energy system.

In theory it should be a 33-33-33 split between white, tan, and black, but I'll double check that the randomness is indeed as random as it should be.

finished playing the demo, part of me is going to miss the old designs of the woman but i get it innovation so far besides that slight gripe things look good keep up the good work.

What about adding the protagonist into the HC scenes (once they make it into the game)? I think you said you would consider it. I know it's too early to mention this, but...

I've just played LR2 and I like what's there so far. The one thing I'd ask you to modify is the way you travel from one location to another. If possible, might I suggest being able to click on your destination, rather than having to cycle thru each location to get there. It adds a level of tedium to the game I don't think it deserves. Other than that, I like where you're at, and where you're going with the game. Keep up the GREAT work!!

Maybe you can also add other models, compared with the models from LR1, these one are not that good and most of them being black (not that I have something with black people but I think maybe make it like 50-50)
