last month i caught up on my main commission queue for the first time in quite a few years, i think possibly since 2017? and WOW did i need that. it felt really good to, for the first time in ages, actually not have anything i NEEDED to be working on

ichor the shadow

this is ichor! it's a shadow beast that serves the lindworm. ichor's job is to keep an ever-watchful eye on the princess and make sure she doesn't escape, should she make any attempts to do so. 

ichor is a shape-shifter and can change its form as it likes (for the most part). its has a generally consistent size but can become larger and stronger by consuming other shadows. 

it is a generally playful beast... VERY interested in the princess. it watched over the lindking's...

jackson practice + dads backstory

i had to draw moira's other dad before he comes up in the comic! it's been a super long time since i originally conceptualized him alongside danny, and i needed to adjust him to have more realistic proportions and defining features.

we don't learn a ton about moira's parents in the comic - MAYBE in the post-chapter character minis, though i wont be able to fit a lot into the 4-panel format.

as mentioned in the first post i made about lindbride with the stock portraits, one of the main characters is a kobold butler who manages the 'upper house' for the lindking and queen. no name yet, but i've got a pr solid idea of his personality: very proud of his position, happy to serve his king as best he can. has been under the lindking's service for many years, his lifespan elongated by his being favored by the king and benefiting from his magic

patreon changes (part 1?)

Hi everyone! Here's what's up: 

1. I've removed one tier and intend to remove the $5 tier as well. That being said, any $5 (Werewolf) patrons are encouraged to adjust your pledge ASAP so that I can delete it (currently, it's just retired.) You can either move down to the $2+ tier OR up to the new $7+ tier.

Some sketches of Moira I did sometime last month. I miss her! I really, really want to start working on the comic again soon, I'm dying to finish up the chapter and start scripting the next one. Some developmental stuff is already in the works, but I've got to do a smidge of research before I get started, and my hands have been giving me problems, so I can't draw too much at once...  Wanted to draw Carla the other days! These were done on my iPad, which is very nice to sketch on.

Just the general mood for Carla in the latter half of this chapter. I suppose this was expression/pose practice. My favorites are the very first sketch (top-left), the running pose right next to it, curled-up-carla, and the small headshot with shaded lips at the bottom that just struck me as surprisingly well executed and pretty. I love her.
