here's a comic page i managed to complete this week when i had some alone time and wanted to draw instead of play totk. finally, we have jackson! we love a grilldad who grills.
we also get angel, who is actually based on a dog i had when i was a kid. same name and breed: jack russell terrier! my mom re-homed her at some point without telling me beforehand and i always held a tiny grudge about that... i do hope she had a nice life with her other family though! anyways, i thought putting her in this comic was a cute tribute.
i've gotten back to writing script for the comic. while i'm having luck not thumbnailing pages before i draw them fully, i've found i really need dialogue at the ready. even if i end up improvising as i draw, a script helps guide me figure out how to compose and pace pages. i have to be careful, though... writing fic gets me used to writing lots of dialogue, but i have to keep in mind that too much dialogue isn't always best for comics
this chapter is going to be suuuuper chatty- up to a point. and then basically no dialogue for a while until the end. wish me luck with the exposition, this chapter drops some little bombs wrt the Setting and Lore; i hope it doesn't come off as incongruent with the rest of the comic thus far.
