I had speech therapy on Monday, and my recovery is still going well! It's just an up and down process as I just reached two months post op, meaning my voice is still settling, strengthening, etc.

A bit of a late update because I'm still recovering, but I'm out of surgery and have been home since yesterday evening! It took me a bit longer to get out of anesthesia yesterday compared to last time, and I also had to stay at the hospital longer than the previous surgery for two main reasons:

First off, I had to call myself today to schedule the surgery (no surprise), but surgery is set for April 17th!

Second, DLsite sent an email to me and all other creators around a month ago that due to all the pressure from Visa/Mastercard the past year that some products would be region locked. 🍀 March Update #2 🍀

I had my March 10th appointment, and both my doctor and speech therapist confirmed that I have very limited options at this point. Unfortunately, a vocal rest or even a steroid injection would only help inflammation and wouldn’t fix the more physical issues like the cup/saucer formation and the keratin buildup.

It’s now 100% confirmed that I’ll be having another surgery. I just have to wait for the call this week to get it scheduled, but it looks like I may have to end up calling...

Hello, a bit of a sucky update!

Firstly, update with the gene situation: I DO have it, specifically CHEK2. I got referred to Cancer Prevention and Wellness to come up with a personal care plan for me to help prevent it and reduce my chances of getting it! To clarify, I do not have breast cancer nor am I guaranteed to get it. I've been pretty quiet since I've been focusing on doing my vocal exercises and also just didn't have much to speak about! I've been retraining my voice stamina since my voice will still get breathy and tired at times, but I'm still doing way better than I was before. A few days ago I was able to sing for 40 minutes straight before I started to tire out, which is an improvement!

Hello! I had a couple of important follow-up appointments with my doctor and speech therapist yesterday, and I’ve got a lot of good news to share! 🎉

Voice Update!!!

Here's the promised update on my voice! Difference is May 2024 when I found out I had nodules versus today :> I never got around to recording an "after starting speech therapy" clip but it wasn't much different from May!

I also misspoke a couple of times in the one from today because I was so excited but here's what I meant to say:

• I got sick two days after my surgery, not two weeks

Surgery Day!!!

Like I told you all, I'd make an update the day of surgery if I felt up to it and I feel good! I feel way better than I thought I'd feel after getting operated on lmao. But today was surgery day and it was crazy!

• I got up at 5am and got to the hospital at 6am to wait. I went through all the paper work and all that good stuff with the doctor, nurses and surgical team over the course of 1-2 hours. They also explained the procedure and anesthesia stuff to me.
