Hello, more updates and appointment updates!

I've been pretty quiet since I've been focusing on doing my vocal exercises and also just didn't have much to speak about! I've been retraining my voice stamina since my voice will still get breathy and tired at times, but I'm still doing way better than I was before. A few days ago I was able to sing for 40 minutes straight before I started to tire out, which is an improvement!

The issue is I do still have range problems (specifically my lower one and my higher/whistle note in singing), which is starting to concern me a bit since it'll be 11 weeks since my surgery as of tomorrow, but I also get that I have to be patient since I had bigger nodules than most people get so removing bigger ones = recovery taking a bit longer!

Usually recovery goes 3 months of full healing + being able to use your voice professionally and 2-3 months of settling with occasional fluctiations, so I'm still not at 3 months yet. Just another week🤞

I did take a 5 day or 6 day course of steroids a few days after my speech therapy on Nov 7th, and it did help! But I also started having fluctuations in my voice again after, just not as bad as before.

I have a lot of appointments this month also! I will be seeing DB on December 11th to get scoped and check my swelling, scarring, etc and see how that's going. I might also possibly get a steroid injection directly into my folds if the oral steroids didn't get the effect he wanted since they mentioned having me do oral steroids and possibly a steroid injection as well. An injection would help any remaining swelling if there is any and soften my scarring!

I also see M on December 13th (which is the appointment I have to bring a sample of one of my audios for so they know how I naturally sound) and another appointment on the 31st but not sure if it's just her on the 31st or if DB will be there also!

I'm really hoping that I'm fully healed this month so that I can get some stuff recorded for you guys before Christmas, but worse case scenario things might push into January! We'll see how it goes. I have sooo many scripts on standby! It's only a matter of my doctor telling me when I'm fully healed, that's when I'll get the okay to start recording 🩷
