Hi guys, in the month of November I will be hosting a group over on Facebook that is about Praise and how it changes things. It will be a closed, private group so it's by invitation. It will not include heels 😂
Send me a message if you are interested and I can explain more!

Good morning!
Many times I have written about Romans 5 and here it comes again!
As multiple things have been challenging and testing me, I have clung more and more to this truth: (modified and put into my words as I journaled them)
I am made right with God by faith
I have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ my Lord has done for me.
Because of my faith, Christ has brought me into this place of undeserved privilege where I now stand, and I confidently and j...

Real contentment must come from within. You and I cannot change or control the world around us, but we can change and control the world within us.

“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.”
The Good News: God loves everyone equally. It does not matter the color of your skin or how you identify.

Good morning,
The way the Lord works is something I continue to be astounded by. Our daughter has been sharing these ways with me too. Almost daily she tells me of some way that God worked in her life.
One such day was perhaps something others would find to be just normal life. However, we know that God does so much in and through us as we continue to look to Him.
She tends to be extremely diligent in school. She can work without a break for 6 hours, hunched over her homewor...

Children enter this world with a tremendous capacity for faith. For children, believing in God is instinctive.

Good morning!
The God-coincidences that come so regularly in life just continue to have such an impact on me! Thalia, our 20 year-old daughter, has been sharing with me these same moments in her day. Some of the things I will share over the next few days are “old news” because I write ahead of time and schedule my messages. Life just goes more smoothly for me that way.
Yesterday I saw water that had come through the light fixture in our kitchen ceiling. Some of you know that e...

Good morning!
How willing are you to look at yourself and the areas that need change?
That can be scary at times, especially if it’s a deep part of us. I think we instinctively know those deep things because we try to evade quickly and often subconsciously in those moments when we get close to some understanding in that area.
I know for myself, I will all of a sudden find myself get busy doing something - cleaning, scrolling, something….anything…that moves me away from...

Looking only at the good side of every situation is often a dangerous way of trying to escape the reality of it. When we praise God we thank Him for our situation, not in spite of it.

Good morning!
“It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.” Proverbs 29:25 (GNT)
Oh, how often we subtly are more concerned with how we look to others than trusting in God’s path for us and others.
When I consider eternity and this short life we live, I know I am supposed to make the most of every moment I’m given. However, I think I often don’t step into uncomfortable things out of fear of how I might be ...

Your word can unlock a life you love or one you loathe. It is up to you whether the self-fulfilling prophecies you articulate become a delight or a dungeon. Fortunately, as C. S. Lewis wrote, “The doors of hell are locked on the inside.” If you talked your way into your current mess, you can very likely talk your way out.

Wow! This is not an accident. About a month ago I had scheduled this to post today. I just came to my scheduling app to see if I had something ready to go and I'm blown away. Yesterday, my daughter's boyfriend text me this very verse in response to a trial that occurred yesterday. I have been praising God FOR this situation since it happened and I find it brings me joy.
I also used the verse he sent me for my SOTD quote yesterday. Here it is:

Good morning!
One of the things my husband regularly reminds me of is how all of the people in the Bible had their own personal list of faults and shortcomings.
None of those things prevented them from being used by God. He specifically works through the weak and the ones who seem to have too many problems!
Why do you think that is? I think for one, it makes us relate. We have no excuse for ourselves! We know our own personal list and yet God has chosen each of us for a spec...
