Good morning!
“It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe.” Proverbs 29:25 (GNT)
Oh, how often we subtly are more concerned with how we look to others than trusting in God’s path for us and others.
When I consider eternity and this short life we live, I know I am supposed to make the most of every moment I’m given. However, I think I often don’t step into uncomfortable things out of fear of how I might be interpreted or how I might look. I want to trust more in what God is leading me to do than in what people might think of me. Being too concerned with ourselves seems to be a huge limit to what we could do if we didn’t overly analyze every situation so much.
If we operate in the world with a loving heart, I believe that we can’t help but step outside our comfort zones.
What comfort zone do you need to step out of? I’ll go first. My comfort zone is to talk myself out of promptings from the Lord because I spend too much time thinking about it. There is a time for analysis and then it turns into paralysis. I pray to have enough pause to be wise but not so much pause that I’m ineffective!
