After a very close poll, I'm pleased to present my first-time listen and reaction to Are You Experienced, the debut album from The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Of course, I had heard a handful of these songs before, but many were new to me...and this was my first opportunity to hear the entire album!

I'm quite pleased to share the very first EPL episode dedicated to the music of The Beatles. As I will say in the video, I know quite a bit of the band's repertoire, which is why I've chosen other bands and other albums first and more often. But, something told me the timing was right for a full album reaction to a Beatles album...and Sgt. Pepper's did not disappoint.
I tried a new format in this reaction...having my keyboard right in front of me instead of to my side. Let me know what...

In this episode, I'm diving into the myths and legends of one of the most beloved choral works in the repertoire. Allegri's Miserere Mei, Deus was written for performance specifically in the Sistine Chapel in the late 1630's. With the recent naming of a new pope, my thoughts were again on this piece...and I'm happy to share some history and analysis of this beautiful work. Enjoy.

I'm pleased to continue on in the Queen discography. This time, with Sheer Heart attack, I'm filling a hole between two albums I've previously heard: Queen 2 and A Night at the Opera. This third album from Queen is enjoyable from front to back, showcasing the band's unique flair that has made them rock and roll royalty.
