Sneak Peek #05 (Tile, Physics & Mechanic rework)

I'm preparing to upload the game in a few days after a bit more work. I redo the movement physics due to issues with slopes, took me some time to figure out. Changed the pixel per unit from 64px to 32px to use smaller tiles that better fit the character size, and I learned to use Tiled with automapping to speed up level creation and editing. Updates [21st September]

Quick update - I've been a bit quiet lately, but don't worry, I'm still at it. Next month, I'll be on this project full time.

I've had less time for the game this month, mainly focusing on polishing – reimplement the movement physics, adding slopes and resizing the tiles from 64 to 32 pixels, etc.

It's still the process of defining the gameplay, but once this structuring phase is done and I'm working full time, you can expect progress to speed up.

Public Game Build [Version 0.1]

Some struggle mechanic tips :

  • Regenerate enough stamina before you start to struggle. Pressing "V" consumes stamina each time you use it, If you press "V" right when the H-Anim starts (when you have 0 Stamina after being knocked), you're not letting yourself regenerate enough stamina to escape.
  • Try not to miss the timing. missing the timing when pressing "V" will deplete your escape gauge even more than not pressing "V" at all.

Patron's Game Build [Version 0.12]

The latest build is ready! I apologize for the delay. We've got 2 new foes, Goblin Spear and Bandit Sword, along with 4 H-Animations. No new areas, but we've expanded on the existing ones a bit. The gameplay hasn't changed much; I've mainly been busy with re-coding, optimizing. Plus, there's a gallery view to check out the NSFW animations.

Planning #02

Hey everyone! It's the plans for the next build. After spending some time coding and animating pixel arts, I've become more efficient.

Last time, it take me less than a week (work days) to create the bandit enemy. Well, I used some existing code from the goblin and modify it. I think that animating will take more time than coding them . It's so much easier getting to craft enemies as I develop better workflow and managing tasks with notion.

Game's Build [Version 0.10]

New build is out! I've added audio to the game and bringing in a new enemy and the escape mechanic has been improved too! The audio still needs a bit of fine-tuning especially the moan, but I'll take care of that in the next update.
