So here's something different for a change. This is one of my earliest attempts at making a comic, I belieeeeeve some time around 2006, making it nearly twenty years old.
I dug this out of a long forgotten folder with backups from a photobucket account I used to upload to, of all things. I made three of these comics, but this one is my favorite.
It's pretty cool to look back on something that another me made in another time - a version of me that really isn't very much like the me...

It's finally time! Here's the first three pages of my new comic, 'Into the Woods'!
This is an idea I've been wanting to do for a very long time.. an idea that I've been mulling around in my head for years. I've always hoped to run into a comic with a similar plot, but I never have... so I'll just make it myself instead!

I've decided to hold off on publishing it for a little while, since it's basically all setup and not a lot of stuff is happening really. I'll do a second... maybe a third page too, and then I'll let you read it! It's turning out a little higher effort than Spliced, but I'm going to make sure I keep the work load reasonable so I don't burn out!

Thanks to Hesrah for the idea for this little montage of life before and after Spliced in the form of pictures on the fridge. Really cute idea, and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

I'm really not used to drawing characters quite that big, but I hope I pulled it off!
Also, holy cow, I can't believe we made it to the big three-oh! The original plan for this comic was 12 pages!
So we're finally here, at the end. I'm wrapping up the comic with five more pages, and I've already sketched them out ahead of time. Don't look if you don't wanna know!
As usual, these are subject to change - framing, dialogue... pretty much everything is up for changing; these pages aren't pretty and aren't final - they're a guide for me to help me move the story in a particular direction.

On the left is the final panel for page 25. On the right is the same panel before I fixed it a few minutes ago.
Clearly, something ain't right...on the right. The fox's head is tucked into his chest, and it's like they're barely touching lips.
In the pursuit of adding detail and wanting to make the drawing look good, I insisted on the viewer being able to see the cat's full snout and nose. This was not something I actively decided; more a subconscious thing... But in doing so,...
It's almost like the kitty was engineered for him.... Actually it's exactly like that. It is that.~
