It struck me that I don't post a lot of WIP pics for Spliced. This is mostly because I tend to finish up an individual frame before I step back and even think about sharing.
And at that point, it's less a WIP and more just... an incomplete page. Which seems like a dumb thing to share. There's no rough edges to it, I'm just half-spoiling the next page.
Anyway, for once, I'm finishing the day halfway through a panel, so I'll share my work.
Fyi, this week's art stream will be ...

This one had a quick turnaround since most of the page is just a big montage of previous pages... But there is still some fresh work in there and you can watch me drawing the last panel and finishing off the page in today's art stream!
Now, if you've seen the video, you may have noticed the the panel ended up looking like trash, (due either to sleep d...

Wanna see how terrible my art gets when I'm tired? Wanna see me struggle and struggle and struggle to finish off the final frame on page 23, screwing up pretty much everything I try to do? Well boy, are you in luck!

Once again, we're at that point where all the planned pages have been turned into finished pages, and it's time to sketch out the next few.
As usual, these are ugly as sin, and they're not meant to show the finished product. Framing, camera angles (to the extent that these sketches even -have- camera angles to speak of), dialogue... all of it can and will change to some extent.
The reason I make these is to keep track in my head of where the story is going. It's there to let me se...

(Also, aren't you impressed a little detail mentioned on page 3 came back and proved to be actually relevant to the plot?)

Just something I whipped up while brainstorming ideas a couple of years back. It's been sitting around my art folder doing nothing, so now you get to see it!

Here comes the page where I disappoint half of you for not making him grow, and make the other half of you real happy ~
Also, I think I'm gonna keep releasing these pages a day early here. I did it last week and that went well enough, so I might as well continue!

Time for this week's video - it's a little longer to make up for last week's being short. Also, pardon the construction noise halfway through... I ended up having to mute myself for a few minutes, but it passes relatively quickly.

I was going through my old files trying to find something interesting to post when I came across this series of WIP snapshots I had made while drawing "The Prince Arrives". So here's a breakdown of what's happening in each picture:
Uh-oh, maybe that cum really wasn't safe to swallow...
Seems like something's happening! I wonder what though???

Spliced isn't over yet, but we're heading slowly and steadily towards the finish line, and that begs the question of what to do afterwards. Spliced is probably the single biggest success I've seen in my art career, and I want to build on that.
You guys, my supporters, are my community, and I want you to help shape where things go from here. So here are some broad suggestions, please let me know what you'd most like to see! And if you have other ideas, let me know!

Here's an unfinished drawing I started last year and haven't gotten around to completing. Not really furry art at all, but I thought it was cool enough to share. I'll get around to finishing it at some point!

Just letting y'all know this week's stream... or video... or whatever you wanna call it, is gonna be delayed until tomorrow night, sorry! And I say that even though there's no actual schedule, but it's been coming out regularly every Monday so I thought it deserved a notice.

So I ended up being pretty unhappy with the work I posted in the last WIP update. It's really not very often I draw such clear muscle definition, and I think it's the very first time I'm doing a muscle growth sequence, so understandably, there's a bit of stumbling while I find my footing.
I don't think the last update I shared was nearly beefy enough, especially when seen in conjunction with the frame that follows it, so I went back and redid it. Essentially I just took every single mus...

If there's two things I kinda suck at, it's back musculature, and musculature around the abs and obliques and stuff. Essentially most of the torso.
I think it's really the fault of me just being intimidated by them, and then lazy... but now... now we're doing a growth sequence, so the muscles HAVE to look right, and I am putting in serious effort to get it as good as I can manage. I'm using loads of reference photos, looking at art, and looking at a little plastic anatomy model on my ...

Here's what's coming up in the next five pages of Spliced! Obviously this contains spoilers, so don't click past the first page or two if you wanna be kept in the dark about future twists and turns. But for those of you who want a sneak peek, here you go!
Obviously, these aren't detailed sketches meant to represent the final work - they are veee-hehehe-eeery basic, and the poses, framing, dialogue and so on may all change, but it'll give an idea of more-or-less what's going to happen.

EDIT: Forgot to add whiskers in panel three, and the tank top in panel two. Sorry folks!

In the same folder where I found my old Halloween drawing, I also found a breakdown of the stages I worked in coloring and shading the characters. This was almost universal for my drawing process a few years ago, but these days, my technique has shifted more to using fewer layers and 'painting' more. It's still interesting though, so lemme break it down for you:
1. This first stage is just the lineart. It c...
