New video on Mexico's Armored Force, including its Mechanized and Armored Reconnaissance Regiments. I look at their major equipment (i.e. they range of vehicles, some French from the 1980s, some indigenous, and some American from the 1940s) and unit organization from the squad to brigade level.
I'm lukewarm on the title if anyone has a better idea lol

Here is a summary of my content plans for the upcoming quarter and my financials for the 1st and 2 quarters of 2024, with some comparison to the equivalent time period last year. The images are of my revenue and expenses.
Content Plans
At the end of Q1 2024 I was basically coming off of a bunch of flops and was re-orienting what I focus on. My plans were basically:
I've licensed a song from a new artist to act as an outro song in my next few videos. This video is just a test, it will be Patreon credits mostly. The full song can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GIotvR6aEw
After I see how the format for outro music goes I may commission this artist to make a custom song exclusive to Battle Order. We've already gotten the money talk out of the way.

New video on Ukrainian Air Assault Squad doctrine (based on a manual from 2018 and some other sources) compared to Russian Airborne Squad doctrine (based on a manual from 2016). This looks at the key positions, how they would subdivide into groups to fire and move, key weapons and the main types of vehicles they used. There is also a mention of pre-2014 Ukrainian airborne/airmobile squads towards the end.

New video on some recent news regarding French Infantry Regiments and infantry weaponry. The key points are:
1. Increasing firepower with new anti-tank weapons, including NLAW, and adding 120mm mortars back into the regiments.
2. New units in the regiment for operating drones, loitering munitions, robotic autonomous systems, etc.
3. A new-ish squad design
Next video will be on Ukrainian Air Assault squad doctrine from 2019 next week. It's locked in for a sponsor

New video on the evolution of Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. This covers their evolving identity, particularly after Russia's first invasion in 2014, and how its original units changed over the past 3 decades. It goes back to Soviet times and gives a brief explanation of the reorganizations happening to the Soviet airborne in the 1989-90 period. It also covers the events surrounding the break-up of the Soviet Union with regard to the airborne units stationed in Ukraine.

The Youtube version of the VAB T20/13 video posted last week for those of you who don't like watching videos on Patreon's native player. This version has a sponsored segment.
Some things to expect in June:
1. A video on the evolution of Ukrainian Air Assault Forces since the fall of the Soviet Union
2. A video on Patriot surface-to-air missile systems and units, with the script written by a guest who used to write for USNI and Naval News
3. Probably a sponsor in the se...

New video on France's VAB T20/13s, 4x4 wheeled APCs that got old 20mm autocannon turrets bolted on them in the 1980s. In this video I look at two major use cases:
1. In cavalry units to support Tank Squadrons and deploy as the core of cavalry task forces
2. In artillery unit complementing surface-to-air missiles (today the Mistral MANPADS)
Unless they pull out this video will be sponsored. If you don't like watching videos on Patreon the version with the ad will ...

I've uploaded the current day squad segment of the US Army Ranger squad evolution video as its own video, because it's the most popular time period but because the video was so long only about 20% of viewers got to the modern part (the average viewer did not make it through the Vietnam segment).
Except for a note about the Weapons Squad/support by fire the information is basically the same, just tightened up. But I've redone all the animations in my newer style and made some completely ...

How many teams are needed for bases that serve different sizes of aircraft, or specialty units like fuel and ammo supply
The U.S. Air Force's major fire trucks and how they scale to bases that serve different sizes of aircraft

A graphic of what I could find on the US Army's 1st Multidomain Task Force aligned to the Indo-Pacific. This is basically a long-range fires unit (from the PrSM, the ATACMS replacement, to LRHW which is basicallya an intermediate range ballistic missile) with its own sensor/intel/effects battalion and, in the future, an IFPC battalion for local air defense.
Note this graphic is just what I could find written publicly, it may be incomplete. For example, I think it's likely that the ADA ...

These are my revenue sources and expenses for Q1 2024. Net income before tax increased by 71% over Q1 2023. This basically came down to a lot better Youtube ad revenue, moderately higher Patreon revenue, and a sponsorship (my first sponsorship in 2023 was in Q2). Q2 2024 already has one sponsor payment locked in at a little higher than in Q2 2023, so should be sitting well this quarter too (especially if I can find a second sponsor).
For ad revenue in Q1 2023 it was like $1,200-$1,600 p...

Here is a graphic of the US Army 1st Cavalry Division from roughly 1933. Included is its color-system for subunit insignias before that was de-authorized in 1934. They basically had different styles and colors for the bend and horse head for each major subunit.
Also update on the next videos:
New video on the California Army National Guard's 40th Armored Division during the late 1950s. This video covers the U.S. Army Armored Division's organization pre- and post-Pentomic, how the unit conversions were handled in the 40th Armored Division specifically (which was also an Infantry Division before 1954), and the geographical extent of the division across Southern California.

The pdf version has a fairly low image resolution (I assume to save on file space) so here are the high res versions in order of appearance:

New video on a planned but not implemented TO&E for 2d Cavalry Regiment that would've seen it structured like a classic Armored Cavalry Regiment but equipped with Strykers. This is part of the "What They Took From Us" series, as 2d ACR was ultimately converted in an infantry-dominant Stryker Brigade instead.
The video also covers the general doctrinal role of the old ACRs (corps-level reconnaissance and security) with a particular focus on cover missions (the one 2d ACR was conducti...

Hey everyone. Thought I'd give a little update on some near-future plans because I've been scheming.
