Remaster: Modern 75th Ranger Rifle Squad Loadout
Added 2024-05-16 23:17:24 +0000 UTCI've uploaded the current day squad segment of the US Army Ranger squad evolution video as its own video, because it's the most popular time period but because the video was so long only about 20% of viewers got to the modern part (the average viewer did not make it through the Vietnam segment).
Except for a note about the Weapons Squad/support by fire the information is basically the same, just tightened up. But I've redone all the animations in my newer style and made some completely new animations as well.
Also the timing with a sponsor with approvals and filming and everything turned out that I wouldn't be able to post the modern French video I'm working on until next weekend and I wanted to get something out this weekend.

2024-05-17 21:22:14 +0000 UTCThe reasons I was told by a current serving Ranger were there are concerns with its reliability and accuracy and their magazines are too big for the 7.62 pouches they already have The Rangers also haven't been hurting for good DMRs. While in the Big Army the M110A1 SDMR basically replaced M16A4s with a scope, or maybe something like the EBR from a while back, the Rangers already had the Mk17 which is preferred. Guys with sniper experience could also build out a M110 (the KAC version employed by sniper teams not the SDMR) or SR25 if the upcoming deployment calls for it, although that sort of work is mostly handled by the attached sniper teams (SNOT). So while they have the SDMR it wasn't really necessary unlike with regular infantry where it's a noticeable upgrade
