Page 2 is here! Oof, this one was a doozy. I really need to learn how to draw backgrounds quickly and effectively. 

Also I've decided only the first 5 pages will be fully shaded like this, that or pages where lighting is important, otherwise I'm going flat color with maybe a hint of shadows and light every here and there. Just so I can produce pages faster.

Monster's Inc Crossover

A tad late but here's August's crossover image!

Monster's Inc was an inspiration because of its depiction of monsters being more modern and bureaucratic, where scaring is more of a job and less just 'something they do'. Plus the whole idea of their whole society being in what's either another realm or a super secret location accessible by doors gave me a lot of ideas for the Otherworld.

Early Patreon Story Launch!

So good news, I have enough done of the first chapter now that I can start finishing up pages on occasion, which means Pioneer tier folks finally get to see the comic SUPER early! There won't be a set schedule for this but I will post pages whenever I finish them.

I'm also working on a patreon schedule for myself so I can keep better track of what I owe and what I've already shared, since I kind of lost track of what lore and character references I've already shared. Now that...

Dub Goal Reached!

Exciting news, the goal for an official dub of the pilot has been reached! 

I'm contacting the voice actors now, I know 2 for sure are on board but am unsure if Suzie's will be available, and if not I'll find another VA asap.

I recently watched Good Omens on Amazon and absolutely fell in love. I can only hope to achieve a similar effect with my research on mythology and religions in My Magic Grandpa, they both have a similar vibe in that not everything is meant to be taken literally in myth and prophesy, that sometimes fate has its own idea of how things work.

Delay on monthly comics

I'll try to make monthly comics soon but all the life issues I've been having lately and my needing to catch up on months of backlogged work has prevented me from really getting any ideas for them. I might finish some of my sketched scenes to make up for it for now until I can start coming up with ideas again.

Hilda Crossover

Hilda is an absolutely STUNNING show that I discovered on Netflix last year. This show is what made me feel confident that My Magic Grandpa would be well received and loved. All the characters are lovable and amazing, the animation is phenomenal, the stories are inspiring and wholesome... Hilda is almost everything I want My Magic Grandpa to be, so when it won a well deserved Annie award I had to draw a tribute to it!

Late Coraline Crossever Art!

Went to the hospital a couple weeks which really threw me off but here's last month's crossover art!

Coraline holds a really special place in my heart, the move was made in my home area, in Portland, and I got to tour the studio as a kid while it was under production. They couldn't give us much, just that it was about a girl finding another dimension through her wall. I waited for it excitedly and when the trailer came out it went beyond my expectations.

I'm planning to get an art table at Rose City Comic Con in Portland in order to sell merch and advertise this comic! I'm very excited to hopefully be able to work a convention booth again after all this time, and hope to spread word about this comic before its big launch in 2020.

How they met

What should the 2019 monthly comics focus on?

Hi guys! So I added a $3 tier for people to see a new short 1 page comic every month that's related to the series.

What I want to do is choose a theme for each year based on what people want to see most, so whatever has the highest votes will be what kind of comics I'll release during this year.

Note: I won't be doing a new comic this month, but I will post an old one to start everything off.
