I've been speaking to some people on DMs, and it appears some of them have not been getting replies from me despite my answering their DMs.

It's likely an issue with Patreon, but be assured I am replying to them.

If you have not received a reply from me despite DMing me, try and start a new DM. See if that fixes the issue.

Playing the Game - BT/CF SI - Chapter 15

Capital Habitat, Deep Kingdom of Subnautica, Leviathan’s Trench

Novo Franklin, Periphery Space

February 18th, 2981 AD

I watched through the many eyes that the combat drones possessed as the stolen construction drones were finally taken to their destination. The radar system of the construction drones was only a kilometer in range due to not being a combat variant, thus there was a limited picture for me to see, but with four units working in tand...

Final Update - Writing Commences Once More.

Well, we fell short of the full amount by two chords, but it is enough for the moment. This will last until spring.

Writing had been a bit difficult to get back into the day after father left for Florida because all that labor had robbed me of motivation and my muse.

Fortunately, a little preparation research for another story idea I had restored enough of it. Several stories actually. One where a Character is a Mind Mage from Palladium Fantasy in a modern World. One where a Cyber...

Update 2 - The Wood is a Beast

I said in the last update that I would be spending about two weeks on radio silence as I helped cut wood for my parents for the imminent transfer for my father.

It has been going slowly, and when it has gone, it has been HARD.

They are working him so hard before he leaves that he can barely physically help me do the work, which is not a two man job since there's logs thicker than your torso involved. When he is able to help me cut, we can only do enough f...

Update - Winter Preperations

As you may have noticed, writing and posting of chapters had slown down.

This is a result of a few things. Firstly, it is now officially winter in Alaska. Yay (sarcasm).

Normally I would only have to take care of my own needs, but this year, my father is going down to Florida to work at a branch of his job, and fix up what will become his and my mother's retirement home. It's a nice place, been taking care of it myself for over ten years on a regular winter care trip.

But t...

Playing the Game - Second Book Cover

"There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city"

If I reach a point where it becomes a book end, or reached 300,000 words, I would make a second "Book" cover for the story to signify that.

Once more I sat in the Precentor’s office with the man who had become a focal point in my short-term plans for this world. I was still angry that the Architect ship had given off Emergence Signatures one could detect. It made that perk from Honor Harrington all the more important when it came to cloaking my activities in secr...

I took a deep breath as I sat down and focused entirely on how to handle this situation.

The first thought that came to mind was to relax, and nod at the first portion.

I stood up and motioned the three to come with me. I looked towards the captain as they left the bridge. “Alright. I have a plan, but I need to go over it with my a...

Dorf Fren! Character Abilities Sheet - Development

To help the character in "Dorf Fren!" navigate the various fictional dwarf races, I will be focusing on common traits that most fantasy dwarves share:

---

1. Stout and Resilient Nature:

Commonality: Dwarves are often portrayed as sturdy, strong, and resilient, capable of enduring harsh conditions and taking heavy damage in battle.

Power: The character could be granted enhanced physical resilience, resistance to toxins and poisons, and a strong constitution, allowing th...

Writing update - controlling my pace

As the title says, and as I had said in a previous poll, I suffer from an overactive imagination.

One of the cons of such is the desire to go over and do something with it, even though you already are doing a project.

So I am instituting self imposed controls on it, by forcing myself to follow "rules".

To put it simply, I will focus on one story specifically for a month, with occasional posts for a second story. Near the end of that month I will set up a poll like this one, ...

I looked up at the ship that was a cruiser equivalent for the Architect species. The species were a race of centaurs that stood half again as tall as the human average. It showed as the innards were meant for a species that stood much taller than a man, and had no need for a seat as their cloven feet were able to grip the flo...

But seriously, I suffer from an overactive imagination. I'm constantly creating even when I'm focus on actual work and normal life activities.

So I have three stories to throw at you. I will write all three in the future, but I would like to see which people would prefer.

Deus Ex Machina - Poll Results, and New Poll

It has been ten days since the poll about what sort of universe the GodBound character would head to was made. It has landed solidly in Science Fiction.

This means, specifically, science fiction media. Not tabletop games like Battletech, or Warhammer, or Mutant Chronicles, or Ogre, or Car Wars, etc, despite there being novels for these settings.

So things like Star Trek, Dune, Honor Harrington, most things by David Webber (Bolo, Armageddon Reef, etc), works by Larry Niven (Ringwor...

Playing the Game - Side Stories

I will be adding side stories to the story for things that haven't been given the limelight and aren't directly related to the MC.

The rules for Side Stories is pretty simple. They aren't a part of the main story, thus they do not count for the Forge. No points for word count. That normally wouldn't encourage people to put much effort into it, but I'm not most people. I try to put effort into everything I do, even if I fail.

That said, I don't have alot of side stories written. P...

I sat down across from Precentor Nyung in a room that was about as opulent as the office I had my own meeting in when he first came to Subnautica. It lacked a great deal of the technological aspects mine did, but given mine was in an underwater palace, unlike the surface where real air and sun coming through a window.

Small Update

enough people on SB have noted the name "Shemla" being "wrong" for the Huragok character that I decided to rename it to something more fitting for the naming conventions in Halo.

So Shemla is now "Shifts with Breeze".

Also, Sarah Enlectra apparently wasn't Admech enough, so I found a name generator and kept going until I found one that sounded good to me. She's now...

Worlds to Travel - Godsbound brainstorming.

So, it's been about 24 hours since the poll was put up. While I will leave it up for people to continue to vote on it since 18 is not everyone, it has more or less landed in Science Fiction.

So, a little background about Godbound.

Godbound is a game made by Kevin Crawford. Kevin Crawford is responsible for the creation of other games such as "Stars without Number", "Worlds without Number", Cities without Number", and a handful of others. They are generic settings on the whole, but...

The Multiverse Misadventures of SPARTAN...1337 - Ch.1

“I hate to say this...but I might be boned.”

Now you would say that these were the words spoken by a loser. A quitter. That couldn’t be farther from the truth! Why? Because my friend, you are reading the words of none other than the greatest warrior in space himself!

For these are the words of SPARTAN…1337!!

And when he says such words...he means it in only the most literal way possible. For SPARTAN’s never lie! Unless it’s to dirty, stinking...

Deus Ex Machina Multiversal Route

While my focus is on "Playing the Game, and a few other stories I have open at the same time, I will eventually have the MC of this story travel through a portal to another Realm.

I am however torn on which route to go. This story was actually going to originally be the Battletech Stroy, but the Celestial Forge took that and it's tops now.

not that Battletech isn't an option, but still, two different ones doing...essentially the same thing in different ways and paths? Yeah, nah....
