Incremental tomorrow evening

I got torpedoed again a few times this week, so rather than put out another lackluster incremental, I'm just going to delay it until tomorrow evening and spend most of today and tomorrow working on it. Weekly tabletop group will have to do without me.

Happy Halloween! I wanted to get this release out while there was still some time before any likely Halloween festivities people might have so you can still enjoy the spooky new content. Gonna try to do the public release early-ish on Halloween proper, and partly because of that, partly because of various RL interruptions that kept a lot of writing from getting done this last week, I'm going to skip the incremental update today.

Alright, it looks like in Patreon’s latest move to give me even less  of the money you donate (I absolutely don’t mind them taking some,  that’s how this business works, but they just keep grabbing for more), I  would have to put all adult content as “Patrons only”. Meaning you’d  have to be donating at least a little to see it.

Rather than doing  that I’m going to go back to uploading the release files to a file  sharing program and linking to them ...

Ero-Fantasy Prose Release

As mentioned over on my tumblr, I didn't really have enough on Devious World to do a public release I thought was worth it, but I did some writing on prose stories that I'm gonna go ahead and release to everyone.

Suggested reading order: Druid, Geisha, Arcanist. Though it’s not  absolutely necessary, they’re all relatively self-contained, that’s just  the order that helps the most with understanding what’s going on.

Public Release: Alpha 20

Okay, so! Quite a few bullet points, some having more content than others, but I think overall I'm pretty pleased with the overall amount of content. I could have done better but often it felt like I was really struggling against burnout, so I think a vacation is definitely going to help keep future updates really pumping. (#phrasing)

• Jamie can now request Tanya's personal attentions as the price of his silence.

Apologies

 I apologize for the radio silence and lack of an update this weekend. I had some personal issues I had to work through. Nothing severe just family stuff.

The update wasn't that much material anyway as I put some of my efforts towards the reader submitted scenes . Hopefully this week's incremental will make up for the lack of one last week.

Need some creative exercises

For the next couple of days, send me short scene ideas in my askbox on tumblr or message me here.  Nothing too super specific, just a bit of a prompt for something kinky  to write.

I’ll pick out a handful of the more interesting ones or  ones that just tickle my fancy and write a bit of prose for them.  Probably not super long and detailed, but hopefully enough to cover the  idea.

1 day delay

Gonna push this week's incremental release back to Sunday so I can do some more writing on Saturday.

I really did not want to have to do this because I would prefer to not give the appearance of being all about the money. I still consider the money people give me for Devious World to be just a bonus, a sign of their support, the morale effect of which is significant and as much or more welcome than the actual financial side of it.

However. I can no longer ignore the fact that my pledged amount has consistently been lower on the first of the month than it is the rest of the month. Which means ...

Had some rough weeks this month, especially the last one. Still, I came out of the gate strong and I think I persevered through to get quite a decent amount of content written and while some of the additions are only a passage or two, they're good stuff to build on, and others have quite a bit of content and branches available I think.

Public Release: Alpha 14

Well, here we are again at long last.

January saw me pick Devious World back up. The start was shaky... cold and flu season impacted my attempts to get back in, and I was rusty after so long. At first, mostly I wound up writing setup stuff for future naughtiness, having difficulty finding the headspace for the turbolewds that would follow. But as time passed I found my groove again, figured out the new habits I needed to develop, and started cranking out genuine content again.

Next public build release date

February 4th, rather than the 1st. Will probably do public releases on the first Saturday of the month, unless the 1st is a Sunday or Monday or something.

Delayed

Sooo yeah, you'll notice there wasn't an incremental build today. I'm really sorry, sincerely.

I know this is an inauspicious start to the revival, but I didn't predict getting sick right as I was trying to restart this. It's left me wiped out and unable to think half the time let alone write.

Will still try to get one out on Monday or sometime this week, if I can manage a scene or two. Eventually I hope to get this "incremental every Saturday" schedule on track but it may have to wait u...

Future scheduling

In the future I'm going to try to get incremental builds out on early/mid-day Saturday.

Unfortunately between trying to knock the rust off and my coming down with something ('tis the season) writing has been slow. I'm going to try to get some smut down today just to make an update worthwhile and then release an incremental build tonight.
