On television, they once asked the question about who was knocking at the knocking at the knocking at the door. It was The Tommyknockers, of course, and so we watched the ill-fated 1993 miniseries. Despite some really great performances, it is an underwhelming mélange of random characters entering and exiting rooms. Jimmy Smits is in it.
