It’s March and here in New Jersey we’re in our weather transition. My heating/electric bill has been through the roof the last few months, so I’ll be curious to see if things come down or if I’m just running too many dang computers in the house (and garage). We also have to make sure the yard, house, and garage are ready for whatever rain situation is coming this year. Seems like the last couple of years have just been buckets of water dropping out of the sky, which floods everything,...

Questions that popped up on this month's Q&A address all sorts of topics, like what we'd do if we had to move on from Discord, technology and media we came to way late, buying big-ticket items at the flea market, the great divide between Mega Man X and non-, and hiding a datacenter in a storage facility.

Here we are in March, and I talk about it on the Ramblecast this week, but it seems more important than ever to have spaces and activities that allow you to find a bit of inner peace. I’ve never been great at meditation, and exercise works but it’s, you know, still exercise. What I usually need to do is build, construct, or make something to quiet some of the noise in my head. That’s been tough with a lot of my tools, paints, etc, packed up while our family tries to (someday) begin ...

Greetings, Nextlanders! Once again I am here to tell you what we've got cooking for the Watchcast in the coming month, and this March we're ticking off another category that's been floating around on our big doc for ages: Weird-Ass Dystopian Cities! To be clear, this is about as loose a category theme as we've done in a while. Yes, all these movies feature varying degrees of dystopias, but some are more like "Here's New York City circa 1979 but it's overrun with clown gangs" versus some of th...

I hope everybody enjoyed last Friday’s Realis stream with Austin as much as I did! If you haven’t seen it you should definitely go seek out the archive. This week, I’m excited to jump back into Void Crew with Brad and Will on Monday. If you’re catching it live, I’ve got an idea to try and make the “proximity chat” stuff work better for the audience, so you can give me a thumbs up or down. I’ve got it primed so we can ditch it mid-game if it’s not working out as well. On Tues...
