I return! Well, actually I returned on Monday, but who's counting :D

I'm back after the Christmas break, and though my Covid rough patch* isn't over, the downtime definitely helped :)

NEWS! The wall stamps and printable stone walls should be ready soon, I've finally been able to get test prints rolling again and finalise some changes, as well as rework the method for using the stamps that is MUCH quieter! I'll be showing that off soon with any luck...

I've also made more progress with scripting the videos, because they are now 5 vi...

So! First things first, I'm still very excited to get the sewer videos out (there will be 5 now...I have to split them down a bit!), as well as the STL thank you's I've been working on with Fabio!

Those may be delayed by illness, but the STLs in particular will have the exact same budget put into them for each month, and will be released to everyone who was here in the months they were planned for (November, December) even if I can only get them to you a little later - ...

So I've managed to get on a bit better today and I thought I'd share this nice little timesaver I've been working on.

I knew that iron bars were going to be needed for this little section here, but getting them to all line up while also assembling the two parts quickly enough for the hot glue to not dry on me AND not damage any of the more delicate (pre podge) bricks at the front was...fiddly, at best!

So you can absolutely do it that way and use sharpened cockt...

BAD week, but with an unexpected benefit by the end!

Not gonna lie, I've had a pretty bad week and a half with Long Covid, varying from 'awful' to 'not as awful', but not really managing to reach 'ok', let alone 'good'!

HOWEVER - it did give my mind time to simmer a problem I'd been having in the build, and save a bunch of foam and storage for anyone making it - and it's also potentially useful in other applications too :)

So I've been holding off on a big photo update until I had the bricks ready for a more impressive shot - unfortunately that section keeps being held back by experiments not panning out! Not time consuming in itself, but has meant I've been working a lot on planning, finalising everything I can except the brickwork, etc..

It hasn't helped that I seem to be getting 1-2 'bad days' a week now, presumably in exchange for me now being able to walk up a small hill without gett...

Quick Sewers Update and November Throwback!

Work continues on the sewers and brick-timesavers, I've been a little slowed by long covid on late afternoon/evenings (literally lost most of my evenings to it) but managed to get the jigs functional, cut a bunch of pieces using them and started on the brickwork. The Throwbacks Begin! MyMiniFactory uploads for October complete

Just a quick update, the invites/emails/files for MMF (myminifactory) have gone out, both for the October release, the STL mini collabs, and the first throwback set!

As I mentioned a little while ago, I'm starting the throwbacks, this month with the doors and mimic set from August. If you are a questgiver you'll get the questgiver throwback, if you're a noble patron (or above) you get the noble patron throwback :)

I'll mention as usual, I did not sculpt these, I paid for these to be made as a 'thank you' for you guys, Fabio of Making Tlon is the sculptor. The split between nobles and questgivers is to make sure future sets have enough funding, and so questgiver funds don't get spent on stuff they may not want 🙂 it's the best way I could figure of still giving questgivers SOMETHING, because without Noble Patron level support I'd be unlikely to be able to keep this up in the longer ter...

So, for the past few days I've been finishing up planning, and working on some test pieces for the sewer build, mainly to make sure everything was going to work the way I'd planned 😂

Short answer - Yes! Mostly, but I fixed the rest so far :)

As you can see, part of this build includes some VERY deep sewer flows - don't panic! We're not filling those with resin 😉 - you can see in the final image the tile type the resin will be going in, only a thin layer, 1/...

The video is currently uploading, which will take a few hours, so in the meantime here's a final teaser of the kind of dungeon builds blocks like these make possible/easier!

I love the new magnetisation, it means you can comfortably place stairblock columns in places you otherwise probably wouldn't, because they'd be too wobbly! Adding the wires etc gives a solid hold to the underside of these, and lets you do some awesome 'catacomb-y' feeling builds....

Gonna be honest, it's been a weird two days 😂

Progress wise, everything is on track! This clips are 95% in place, just a rerecorded bit of VO to do to patch a section where I made a mistake in a clip...

That much is all the more surprising given what else happened.

On Monday, I had an utterly awful covid crash. I was bedridden, staggering if I tried to get up, the works. Completely derailed my start to the week, and needless to say, I got absolutely not...

This build I tried to evoke the 'lost temple' vibes, using what grasslands and trees I had. Maybe it represents true jungle terrain (For now) or maybe this temple is in a temperate zone, an area that was once lush jungle in ancient times...

Now this last step is very much 'personal taste' - I can see a lot of people preferring it without, but the more I've used my buildings with my landscapes, not to mention as dungeons or ruins, what I can't stand is how 'clean' they look...

Quick update, me and Faye are deep in painting now, the final stage before photography and editing, where at least you guys get some more cool pictures of what's possible!

Faye has been a massive help on this project, and it's definitely made it feasible despite my limited ability to work the hours I'm used to. My long covid symptoms continue to decline, glacially as ever, but the progress is there. I no longer need to limit my pace when walking or end up out of breath....

Just some examples of the new corner blocks coming in the magnetic video. I've further optimised the grip so the ones you make should be solid as hell (or use lesser magnets, depending on your preference)

I love these pieces for the sheer potential for making epic feeling dungeons with them 😁

Hi guys!

I finally have the renders on hand for the final release this month! You might have seen the cages have been moved to next month as I went a TAD overbudget, but there's still a ton here, including the texturers that I moved forwards FROM next month...so it all works out 😁

There is only one thing here that is missing - the brutal gibbet will have a variant with chain attached. That got overlooked and is being added now 🙂
