Voting is now open and will close Sunday 15th January at 9:00 CET

Disclaimer: We will be working on the top voted game. We cannot guarantee the success of any port and any of the suggestions may never see the light of day for any number of reasons (Original Dev Stipulations / Incomplete Sour...

Team Beef 2023 Plans / Vote Scheduled

Firstly, a very Happy New Year from Team Beef. If we don't do it enough, we wanted to thank you again for all your support in 2022. You're the reason we get up in the morning and often the reason we don't go to bed at night.

Since opening the Patreon in October 2022, things have been fast and often furious, so much so that often Dr. Beef will call me in the middle of the night, say "Its all about Patreon Family" and hang up.

We started with the development versions of ...

Bet you're glad you stuck around as a Team Beef Patron even though things had been a bit quiet of late?

Yes, as you probably guessed from the title and the video, Team Beef are proud to present RazeXR, a very W.I.P early build of the Raze engine (Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Shadow W...

Download Link: https://github.com/baggyg/BendyVR/

Once again a huge thanks to you, the patrons, who made this game possible by allowing me to put so much time into it. Your support means so much to all the Team. We wouldn't be here without you!

If you have been using the in-development version you should now switch to the live version as this includes a slew of new fi...

"They call me Alice.... but I'm no Angel"(aka BendyVR Finished!)

If you've been holding off playing BendyVR until the full game was playable, this is the release for you! The game can now be played from start to finish. Very little will change in the final public release (see Trello - https://trello.com/b/pnjFZMMh/bendyvr).

Quite a few big fixes in this release, even at this late stage of the game. I would ask that if you are playing, please do feed back to me any i...

Bendy Chapter 4 Early Access Release

I seem to say this every time but this chapter took a bit longer than expected. I think this is down to Joey Studios really treating each chapter like a mini game in itself. Whereas chapter 3 had a lot of Alien Isolation, this is a bit stealthier with a couple of boss fights. No melee combat at all, which is a nice relief after last one. There were however 3 mini games that were required for progress which all needed VRifying as well as a bunch of new mechanics.

I've also now com...

JKQuest 0.5.2 hot-fix

APK Downloads Here: https://www.quakevr.com/patreon/

Just a quick one.. an issue was discovered (thank-you Tobbe85(Fallenangel_1985) on the Team Beef discord) whereby changing configuration options would be overwritten when you restart the app. So this hot-fix update corrects that.

PSA: There is another known issue on the Quest where if your ...

OpenXR FTW Baby! - Pico 4 now supported!!

Hello Patrons

So this is something of a landmark development release as now Pico owners can enjoy JK2 Jedi Outcast in VR as well thanks to making the switch to using OpenXR instead of the legacy (and deprecated) Oculus Mobile SDK (also known as VrApi). Somewhat ironically a switch that wouldn't have occured quite so soon ha...

Developer Mode's back!

Seems an update to the Meta app on my phone has allowed me (DrBeef) to re-enable developer mode. That was fixed way quicker than I expected it to be, which is great result!

JKQuest Roadmap and the Developer Mode Disaster

Hello Patrons!

We had been intending on doing a short progress and roadmap post for JKQuest for a little while now, so we put our heads together and came up with a (semi) definitive list of remaining tasks that we feel need to be resolved or at the very least mulled over and some sort of decision made so that we can start to think about making JKQuest public and we move on to the next big thing: Jedi Academy

BendyVR Chapter 3 - In-Development Release

Tip: Try and make yourself eye-level with Boris, using the Height Offset.

Here is the in-development release supporting Chapter 3 of Bendy and the Ink Machine. A massive level compared to the first two, with no fewer than 5 new weapons and a load of new features.
All of Chapter 3 is now playable. Much like the first release you will get a black screen at the start of Chapter 4 (without any indication other than a message on your PC monitor). Its pretty obvio...

JKQuest: In-Development Update 0.4.1

Hello Patrons!

It has been a couple of weeks and high time another JKQuest in-development update was released. This thing are definitely shaping up nicely!

Change Log

We'll keep this quite short and cut straight to the chase, in this update you can find the following excellent fixes and improvements:

- E11 Blaster Rifle Scope - Use the same way as the Disruptor - no zoom, but fun and as the weaopn had a scope on t...

From checking the patron list, we've noticed that only a small percent of you are on our Discord Channel. BendyVR Chapter 2 Hotfix

Thanks to the feedback from patrons I was able to identify some problems with both Chapter finales. I've reworked the room-scale a bit so that a few more elements are logically in the right position (which should pay dividends later).

You can download the version on this post (although I've also replaced the original post as well).

BendyVR Early Access 0.2 (Chapter 2)

Its a bumper Sunday from Team Beef! Dr. Beef just dropped a new and improved JKQuest. Bendy is not to be outdone and follows close on Kyle's heels.

This one took a lot longer than expected, as there was quite a few fundamental things that needed fixing prior to release on top of the Chapter 2 specific fixes. Add onto that, maybe 3 show-stopping bugs during Release Candidate testing. Famous last words but I hope that Chapter 3 and beyond is simply play-testing and improving some an...

Team Beef Beginners Guide

We've been getting a lot of questions on what existing ports exist and where to get them. We thought it was worth putting together this beginners guide as an overview of Team Beef and also serve as a summary of the games in development and relevant links. JKQuest for Jedi Knight: Outcast in-development release

After many many hours of hard graft, Team Beef are proud to present our "Warts and all" in-development-still-so-be-gentle build of JKQuest for Jedi Knight: Outcast.

You will hopefully notice this is a fair bit more polished than the previous release and now allows you to play the game's main campaign.  However, there are definitely still bugs (some game breaking, but this is an in-dev release after all, it is certainly not ready for public consumptio...

BendyVR Early Access 0.1 (Chapter 1)

I am pleased to share around the first early access version of BendyVR, the PCVR port of Bendy and the Ink Machine.

Upfront you need to know this is only Chapter 1. Its possible to speed-run that in about 10 minutes (although I always get lost). For first time players its probably 15-30 minutes playtime. For those faint of heart, you may never get through it.

The game will end when you are inside a ritual circle. In front of you there will be a black block...

Bendy is not dead! And he's pretty cheap...

Here's a look behind the scenes of BendyVR development. Having got passed the "fundamentals" of a VR port (UI / input / stereo / movement / world scale) its now to tweak the specific weapons and systems of the game. First up is the motion controlled axe.

In the original game the axe is just an animated object whereby a ray is cast from the player camera (not even the axe) forward by a certain distance at a defined point in the animation. This needed to be entirely changed.  View Post

Pico 4, OpenXR and the Future of Team Beef Ports

We've been waiting for everything to line up to make sure this was possible before an announcement. I am happy to say that this is now complete and I can confirm that Team Beef native android ports are moving to OpenXR.

Initially the big advantage is that Team Beef ports will be coming to the Pico 4, so anyone considering that as an alternative to Quest 2 can look forward to playing Doom 3, Jedi Knight and more. We're very excited to see our ports on different hardware. We'll post upd...

JKQuest Development Update (Small apples are sweet)

It felt like time to write a few words about how things are going development-wise on JKQuest. I expect by now most (if not all) of you have had a chance to play (and hopefully enjoy) the latest in-development build we dropped.  There hasn't been a huge amount of progress since then (though to be fair that was only Sunday), but a few of the more annoying little issues that have bothered us have been squashed.

The first is the enemy lightsaber simply materialising behind you w...

WrathQuest 0.14 (aka The Smooth Update)

Here a QoL update for WrathQuest. I've fixed a few of the annoying bugs as well as introduced a VR menu to allow users to set up according to their preferences.

The left hand option is there and technically "works", but models are not yet flipped. There is also currently no "Switch Sticks" option which I know people use.

ChangeLog:

  • VR Menu:

    Smooth Turn Speed
    Snap Turn Angle

Prepare to play through the demo level again but in an entirely different way.. as Dark Kyle! You've turned to the dark side, now anything goes, strangulation is fun, smashing helpless stormtroopers into the floor is fair game, and using the force to push them off ledges to their doom is a totally legit pass-time! Weapon Selector + Force Powers

A quick update to show the progress on JKQuest. Dr. Beef has implemented something similar to the VR weapon selector he made in Quake3Quest. Here it can be quickly-scrolled (via the in-game cursor) to pick not only weapons, but also force powers and your inventory, previously inaccessible. Your arsenal for slaying those Stormtroopers just got that much more fun. This selector has already shown its worth in the high-octane MP battles of Quake 3. Here you have a bit more time to choose how...

JKQuest incremental update 0.1.1

Will keep this brief, as many of you discovered it was basically impossible to defeat the Dark Jedi in the lightsaber duel unless you pummel him with the Fletchette gun or some other weapon, lightsabers appeared to inflict no damage at all. Well, you weren't losing your minds, the lightsaber was actually completely useless.

Good news is that it is no longer useless and can be used properly to duel now, the issue has been resolved.

Additionally, there's been some small tweaks to th...

JKQuest Early Access Beta Release 0.1

The very first Early Access release of JKQuest (Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast) is here. Usually it would have been a lot longer before we got to this stage, but the other ports have helped expedite the development. There is still a lot to be done development wise, but we wanted to thank our Patrons for their early support by giving you a playable version. However being able to play the full game is still a little too rough around the edges, with game breaking bugs.

Therefore, to make ...
