Spooky Forest (progress update)

Hey all!

It's been a bit since the last update now as I've been busy with fixes and tweaks for Demo 2. If you haven't seen it yet, the third small update for Demo 2 is out and has a new menu animation (see below!) and a noticeably improved Panthrill bottoming animation and Blob Plant animation. I'll probably be releasing more bugfix and tweak updates for Demo 2 because I've made it easy to update the demo and insider builds in one go if I need to :)

Release date and upcoming plans

Hey all!

I'm finally feeling comfortable with setting a release date for the demo/alpha:

Two weeks from now - Friday, June 9th!

I plan to release the free demo in two parts to allow this release to go as scheduled - they both take place in the jungle/bright forest region. Once part 1 is out I'll continue work on part 2's bugs while fixing any bugs/issues that any players might find in part 1.

Optimisation work

I mentioned this would be one of the things I'd focus on and it ended up basically being the main thing I focused on since the last update. I started out running the game on my non-gaming laptop and it ran at an abysmal 17 fps... fast forward to now and it runs at 100 fps, which is much better but I hope to make it better still - it's good to have some breathing room.
