I've posted this on socials just now - the black ball animation I mentioned in the previous post is done! Best video quality is on Mastodon, but of course you can find this on Twitter and Reddit if you prefer.
I decided to go for a ladder slowing approach, so if you end up touching one of the black balls you're in for some fun but at the expense of going fast. If you prefer, you can aim for one of the white tongue balls if you'd like both, but a slightly less fun animation :)
