YouTube has dunked my channels ad rates again. It’s okay! I just need to look into why this is happening. My channel’s have plummeted to about half of what they were.

So I am going to be honest, I do not love my last two short stories. They are not up to the bar I want to hold myself too.

I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you. This has been the most exciting year of my life, and it would not have been without you. High school Daniel was kinda ashamed of how nerdy he was. Adult Daniel is now paying rent from talking about the books he loves.

So I finished the next short story I was going to release. I edited it myself and gave it one final read-through before handing it over to you all. 

Coming at it from the perspective of a reader, It was BORING TRASH.

I have appreciated the critical feedback I have gotten for my last short story so damn much. You all don't even understand. It seems the general consensus is not as good as the first, but not the worst thing ever written.

First Draft of Snow Drift is DONE!

I need to go over it this weekend, but after completely restarting several times, I think I am okay with that I have now. 

It made me learn I HATE to write action, so I certainly need to get better at it to fix that problem. Writing action makes me feel like some kind of tool who is obsessed with his characters being badass. UGH! 

But while this one might not be as well done as my first, I am doing this to be criticized and learn. It sure will be neat to be on the other ...

Life Update

So things are absolutely insane and everything is fine. 

My work has decided to make my last two weeks a full on tidal wave of work, so keeping my head above water is harder than ever. Luckily I am almost there! The light at the end of the tunnel is hitting my metaphorical face. 

It does mean that between now and the 20th (my last day), I might be a bit absent. 

After that date though, things here will start moving. The gears of the channel get kicked into hig...

I am going to be a full time YouTuber

Thanks to all of the support I get from you wonderful people, I was able to hand in my two weeks today. I am achieving a dream and I cannot express how grateful I am. 

I will not be working any less, but I will sure be putting a lot more working into the content you all enjoy. 

Thank you for helping someone whose dyslexia used to cause them to be afraid to pick up a book, now make a living talking about the stories he loves.

Good and Bad News

So as of right now I will have to (probably rather predictably) delay the release of Snow Drift. I thought LA would be filled with down time and hours of writing. What it has been is me not being able to stop moving between meeting with people at all. Today is the first day of actually having downtime and I really want to spend quality time with me dad.

The second patreon short story I have been working is almost done. I have written pages on pages and cut it down. Way down. I am proud of it, and the final work should be posted here before Monday.

Second Short Story Sneak Peak

So for this short story, I will be jumping to the war in the mountainous north.

Itha has resisted falling to the Empire for so long, but with all other Kingdoms bent, the full weight of the emperors forces are climbing to their high castles. 

I like the idea of sending soldiers to fight at high altitudes for this story. It adds a layer of difficulty to warfare, especially siege warfare, that should be fun to work with. It also gives a logical reason as to why Itha has been ab...
