Christmas card!

SURPRISE!!

That was unexpected!! I've been a bit tired lately, working in healthcare during an infinite world pandemic will do that to ya, so for the first time since I've been self-aware I somehow forgot to put up Christmas decorations :'D I usually start decorating mid November but this year I just kinda... forgot? Which is a little sad really, I love Christmas and all the stuff and fluff that surrounds it! Not gonna lie, working in healthcare is killing me just a tiny winy bit, I do wish saving lives...

I'm a pigeon!

It's getting a bit chilly round here so it's scarf season! I love a big fluffy scarf to keep me from the wind and rain but it has a habit of looking... puffy? Sure enough I immediately saw the resemblance between me and the city pigeons I see on a daily basis, and now I can't help but laugh at myself when I catch a glimpse in the mirror!

Men's fashion

I'm not a fan of clothes shopping, not because I don't like new clothes, but because it's such a hassel! Nothing seems to fit, and especially when it comes to jeans :'D apparently I've got such a unique body shape, one never before witnessed in fashion- I don't understand how the same sized jeans from one brand are too tight, yet that size from a different brand just falls right off me bleg!

Finally new bins!!

Our apartment block has these wonderful underground bins- however there was only a grey bin and a paper bin- no green bin, plastic or glass but we had just accepted that that was just the way things were going to be. The other day we were going to go for a walk and suddenly spotted these big ol' grey containers (that's what the underground bins look like below ground) and boy were we HYPED! Never been exited for new bins before but here I am :'D We got brand sparkling new plastic and green bi...

A moody mood

Sometimes I just wake up and have one of those days in which I wish to simply be turned into a stew!

Transformation!

The very first thing I do when I come home from work is jump right into my comfortable snuggle clothes! I started this habit back when I was in university and it's just so so nice. It really emphasises that work is over and done for the day. My partner didn't get it when I told him about the comfortable clothes transformation, but now he wouldn't know what to do without it! 

The one with many names!

Mr. Chonk is really just his formal name... I just call him Big Kate most of the time and he doesn't mind one bit!

Relax!

I love a good shoulder and neck massage, I get all tense for no good reason and it's hard to get all those knots out by myself! That being said, I'm also a bit sensitive and have a pretty mediocre pain tolerance, as depicted above :'D

Motivation Where Art Thou?

The gyms have been closed for months on end due to the you-know-what here in the Netherlands! Annndd I'm just so dreadful at motivating myself to do any type of exercise (unless you count running for trains, then I do that sever times a week!). The gyms have opened again recently and I'm trying the pluck up just the smallest sliver of motivation to drag my bum over there and at least *attempt* exercise- I'll let you all know in a couple of weeks if I have succeeded in this up hill battle!

So much to do! So little time!

After a long week of work I will often be super exited to work on my projects on my days off- however, being the chaotic person I am, I have more hobbies than I can count on two hands... and the stress of choosing which one I get to do can lead to me just panicking! I want to use my time wisely, but which one of my hobbies is most deserving of my time?? It's a very strange thing to get stressed out over, I know, yet I can't help it!

Socks!!

I finally bought myself a pair of these bad boys! They are SO comfortable and warm! 

Makeup

Since I've started my new job I've always shown up to work with my makeup done up! I use makeup because it makes me feel more confident and I see it as part of self-care so I usually don't skip that step in my morning routine, after all, it only takes me ten or so minutes. It was my sixth day in a row working, and it was a Saturday, so I thought I would just forgo the makeup that day; Saturdays are usually quite (staff wise) and I didn't think anyone would even notice!

Chores...

Since I started my new job I've come to realize that I simply forget to do the house chores, which comes with consequences... After a long eleven hour day the very last thing I care to do is the laundry! It's times like these where I realize how lucky I was as a child, I never had to worry about having a clean set of clothes, or towels! 

Well it all came to a head when I popped out of the shower and came to the solemn realization that I didn't have a single clean towel to dry mysel...

Computer parts

I love my PC to bits and it has opened so many opportunities for me, but my goodness is it an expensive piece of equipment! I've done digital art for most of my life using a laptop and a drawing tablet (the cheap kind that you just plug in via a usb port). As my skills grew so did the size of my files and the programs I used and, in the end, a cute little laptop just couldn't keep up :'D My partner came to the rescue and built me a PC using some old parts he had lying about! Tiny Pumpkins!!!

I saw these at the shops and my goodness arn't they the cutest little things!!! I'm not much for decorating the house in autumn or october since Halloween simply isn't celebrated where I live (which I find massively disappointing, I love Halloween) but I made an exception for these little cuties-I had to buy a couple, mostly so I can use the seeds and grow my own next year in my moms allotment! I added a picture of Mr. Chonk for size comparison ;D

Side-burns!

I don't know what it is, but when I put my hair up in a ponytail or bun my little baby hairs start acting up! Usually the first ten minutes after the updo it's all right, but soon after that point it's all down hill :'D thing is, I often don't realise until it's far too late (when I come home from work)- maybe I need to use hair gel? Or hair wax??

Too little hours in a day

I made this comic after my first week working at the bakery- man I was TIRED! I have such immense respect for people who do this job day in and day out, after just my first couple of days I was completely knackered :'D

My days typically started around five in the morning, I'd get to work just before six and then would be on my feet, running around for no less than nine hours straight! Thing is, because I started early, I also ended early at 3pm- which initially I thought was brilliant...

My Outfit!

I saw this little challenge up on Instagram and wanted to join in (although a bit late, whoops)!

Number one fan!

That fan was a life saver, without it I couldn't bare sitting in the blistering heat during the heatwave! It's the only reason I manged to get any work done! Though, I must say, I wasn't expecting the dry eyes- I could have seen this coming... 

Baby Braids

The other day I was messing about with my hair and decided to go ahead and make a couple of baby braids. I thought they looked very cute indeed but deep within me something awakened! Now I have a deep urge to cosplay some warrior Celtic red-heads!

SPRING

Winter has been extremely dreary here in the Netherlands, we had no snow, instead it rained constantly with the temperature hovering just above freezing! I really like snow and ice since I'm used to it during this season, but this year was down right disappointing! It felt like a never ending autumn, but without the colourful leaves and warm vibes :'D Thankfully I spotted a sign of change, the spring flowers have started blooming! I cannot wait for all the plants to start growing again and fo...

Posture!

The past week I've had crazy shoulder pain and it really bothered the living daylight out of me! I first thought that I must have overworked it or otherwise damaged it, but alas, it was my terrible posture! I love sitting hunched over my tablet for hours on end, but it comes at a painful cost :'D I have since been working hard on being self aware with how I sit, no more crossed legs, straight back and my shoulders down instead up hitched way up to my ears. I hope I can keep this up!

I'm finally getting the hang of this!

My last comic in which I said I would be a super red panda if I could have a super power got multiple comments asking me if I was a furry! SO naturally I made a comic about it because why not? 

I'm not sure what qualifies as being a furry in all honestly, I just really like red panda's and think they are adorable!
