Character Designs + New Style Practice

I really REALLY love designing characters for no other reason than the heck of it! I used to do it a lot when I was younger but then I just quit to focus on my comic page! In general I used a different style here than I do in my comics: First I colour the characters in and then I add the line art based on the colour of the character. Just a silly little sketch I made based on the morning walk I did today! It's a stormy day today in the Netherlands with wind speeds up to 150 km per hour- and it's just a tad spooky! I live near a construction site and it seems that they forgot to tie down some huge styrofoam boards- they were flying through the air and coming right at my partner and I! It was defiantly a each man-to-themselves situation :'D Nothing can quite describe the fear of watching a giant board flying directly at you...

The other day I was having lunch in town and, sadly, the person sitting opposite me wanted to show me what a chewed up sandwich looked like! I didn't want to be rude and move away but for goodness sake, no one is interested in seeing your half digested food, covered in saliva and what not... blegg 

Kitty Mood Swings Comic

Hehehe another cat comic, I'm sorry :'D my two grey fur children usually get along brilliantly but the little one has a tendency to ruin the peace! One moment they are cleaning each other and being all lovey dovey, the next it's a war zone! 

Beauty Sleep: comic

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a very ugly sleeper :'D Each time I see pictures online of people asleep they look so calm and elegant but how do they do it?? I find it suspicious! When I'm in a nice deep sleep my mouth is always wide open (even though there is nothing wrong with my nose) and I drool more than I'd like to admit... not to mention my hair is a complete birds nest! The cherry on top is my slight snoring and the occasional mumble sleep talking- but thankfully it doesn't bother my partner ...

Onion Comic

The kitties are always curious when it comes to food! Especially when I'm cooking in the kitchen they will mew and mew until I show them what I'm copping up- Thankfully they hate everything that ins't meat/fish or cat food. Arch nemesis number one are onions by far! Their faces scrunch up in utter disgust, they probably wonder why on earth us humans eat such strange horrible foods :'D 

Meds Comic

To help me get back on my feet my GP has prescribed me new pain medication since the original ones I was taking didn't quite cut it- and well, these ones are quite a wild ride! My SO has had back problems in the past as well and knew exactly what they would do, but I of course thought it wouldn't be thhaattt bad :'D Ohhh how wrong I was! They definitely are helping me though, so despite feeling a little drunk, I'm able to do much more! 

Also, a slightly new comic style! ...

Toon Me Challenge

Currently there's a new challenge going round on social media in which the artist draws half a picture of themselves in cartoon style and the other half stays normal! It was fun to do ;D I've managed to get my PC up and running from my bed so, though my back is still a bit of a mess, I now have to ability to make art with my tablet again! I'll be making the next comic asap! Thank you all for being so patient <3

This is a silly little comic about one of my cats, Ms. Bean! She loves making a mess of any and everything she can find, the little rascal! I love watching fire works, but I've seen too many amputated noses and fingers to touch the stuff myself! The most dangerous thing I dare touch are sparklers ;D I hope all of you have a lovely new year!
