SpaceX Raptor SN46 Arrival at the Launch Pad for SN11!

Crazy lucky catch!

https://youtu.be/pgspFjHt1FM

After dinner last night, I thought to myself -- hmm the fog looks pretty rad, bet it would make for some cool Starship images. After photographing the build site and SN11 on the launch pad from alongside the road, I saw the orange/white lights of the raptor truck leaving the build site from afar and knew I had to run over near the landing pad alongside the highway t...

The capture of a lifetime, and you all made it possible!

The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind, to say the least!

From capturing this wild shot of a Falcon 9 to Elon Musk himself calling it "one of the best shots ever", I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to build a full-time career chasing the rocket launches here in Florida because of each and every one of you! SN5 Hopped!!!

Missed it? Here's my video! https://youtu.be/HXzPu6MM99Q

Yesterday at 6:57pm Central Time, SpaceX's Starship SN5 prototype lifted off from Boca Chica, Texas on a 150 meter test flight! And I was there to capture it!

I was one of the only ones to see it from liftoff to touchdown, capturing ignition, in flight all by itself, leg deploy, and more.

Thank you so so so so so so much for allowing me to chase rocke...

SpaceX Falcon 9 B1058.2 makes a beautiful return to Cape Canaveral after successful ANASIS-II mission

My photo coverage of the SpaceX ANASIS-II mission is complete!

Here is a gallery of some of my favorites as long as some backstory on how I captured the landed Falcon 9 in front of the Sun.

I got to thinking, "Hmm, what could I do different for this booster return." I noticed (thanks to Gavin/SpaceXFleet's great coverage of these things on Twitter) that the droneship was sche...

Celebrating two weeks as a Florida resident with a rocket launch!

Yesterday marked 2 weeks as a Florida resident! The SpaceX GPS III SV03 launch occurred on the anniversary and I couldn't be more excited about it.

Up until then, I was just working in Florida. You all are now directly supporting my full-time job of both living and working in Florida. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Here is some of the fun stuff I have been up to in my first two weeks as a resident:

I couldn't be more excited to share these. I hope these photos ...

It's time to get hoppin' on down to Texas!!!

All packed up for my trip to Boca Chica, TX where SpaceX is ready to fly the Starship Hopper to new heights! (Sounds like 200 meters this time, it was 20 meters for the first flight) Per a tweet from Elon, it sounds like FAA approval has been received and everything is set.

It is currently NET (no earlier than) Monday, August 26th and thanks to each of you, I'll be there bringing you all the ac...

Thanks. It means a lot.

Hey. This is a really quick post and won't take much of your time, but I just really wanted to say thanks.

I am down here in south Texas for the SpaceX Star Hopper testing / hop stuff and have had a number of news organizations ask to use footage / pictures and the second I let them know I am happy to license stuff ($$) to them but cannot exchange for credit alone since I am a professional at this -- they stop responding.

I just wanted to say thank you, becau...

Looking for a fiery new lock screen? Look no further.

Just re-edited one of my remote camera photos from the recent Parker Solar Probe launch aboard a Delta IV Heavy and tried it as my phone's lock screen. Looks EPIC.

The Delta IV quite literally lights itself on fire. It runs lighter-than-air hydrogen through the engines seconds before launch, which rises up and alongside the vehicle. At engine ignition, some of the denser areas of this free hydrogen ignite and char the orange insulation on the vehicle.

I traveled to the Parker Solar Probe launch with a crazy idea to combine my top 3 beacons of creativity.

Why the delay? Parker Solar Probe launched two weeks ago!!!!111

First, read this blog post (linked above, too)

Hey y'all! Here are all my photos View Post

Today was so awesome, you could say it was electric.

Had an awesome day today witnessing my first SpaceX Falcon 9 first stage (B1046.2) return to Port Canaveral in Florida!

I frequently travel to these launches, but hardly can justify the extra cost of staying 3-4 days extra to catch the return of the droneships...

But being here for the Parker Solar Probe launch on Saturday, it gave me an opportunity to see it!

I previewed the lead photo above over in my Discord server, are you in there yet? You should be! ($5+) 2018-08-10 03:38:28 +0000 UTC View Post

Blue Hour at the Massachusetts Statehouse

New BTS video/image from a few nights ago at the Massachusetts Statehouse.

I took a walk with Alex to try and capture it at blue hour when the blue sky fades to night and the warm architectural lighting builds — it worked out splendidly!

The perfect time (in my experience) to capture these blue hour/architecture photos is between 48-55 minutes after the sun goes down.

I’d like to go into more detail about the technicality / do a tutorial with multiple examples of these photos a...
