Our Life: Now & Forever- Timespan

Since we're getting into showing content for the different time periods of Our Life: Now & Forever, I figured it was about time to reveal exactly what the timespan of the story is. This is it-

Step 1: 2010, LIs are 10

Our Life: Store Backgrounds (Wedding DLC)

Shopping time! In the wedding DLC you'll be able to go to fancy formal shops to get your clothes for the big day. You can buy the stuff with Cove or keep the shopping trips separate so things are a surprise. And you can go to both stores yourself if you're not sure if you want a suit or dress.

We've put together various screenshots to add to game pages for the project. They're quite cute so I figured I'd share them here ahead of time. You can see how your MC's doll appears on the textbox, along with icons for the NPCs too. And not only that, there's also two ways the textbox can be formatted! There's the bubble that appears near the speaker and keeps the icons small, or you can have a stationary bubble that shows the icon more largely.

We've got another set of parts for the MC doll! Here's a look at some of them. There's more hairstyles, new eye shapes, face shapes, clothing layers, expressions, and extras like freckles/birth marks/scars. It's starting to come together, but there's plenty more options to go.

And here's the final major player of Step 1- Qiu's mom! She's a kind and earnest lady, but very stiff when socializing. Small talk is definitely not her forte. As a way to connect and show she cares, Mrs. Lin never misses a chance to send a written card. Thank you letters for whatever, get well soon messages, birthdays, holidays, graduations, and so on. She remembers what's happening in someone else's life, even if when you talk to her she can come across as entirely disinterested by her body...

It's Qiu's daddy! And, of course, it's yet another hot parent for the series. Mr. Lin an affable guy with a somewhat dry sense of humor. He's highly affectionate towards and protective of his family. Qiu gets along well with his dad, with Qiu having a lot in common with him personality/interest-wise. They both love biking, socializing, and doting on Mrs. Lin.

Man, where did this month go, aha? We did get quite a bit done, but it feels as though there's no way it can already be the end of May. But it is, so let's get into the wrap-up post for the month-

Our Life: Patreon Bonus Moment Incomplete Beta (PC, Mac, Android)

We've got something playable for the Bonus Moment today! But it is incomplete. And, unfortunately, it's the main portion sexy times scenes that aren't done. To be transparent, I've struggled with completing them. I'm more worried than usual about things seeming out-of-character or being poorly represented or for something to be wrong with the game formatting and so the incorrect descriptions get used for the MC in an intimate moment. Sexual and wholesome is a hard line to balance it seems, ah...

Our Life 2: B Sprite (Step 1)

We've now got Baxter's completed sprite! What a precious baby. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun to have him around again.

Our Life 2: Cut-In Style

And now we can reveal the last major art asset style of Our Life: Now & Forever- the look of cut-in CGs! I think the presentation is very soft and sweet and overall a great fit for the rest of the game. 

It's quite exciting with everything really starting to come together now, but there's still things to add and change. I hope you'll look forward to more polished/finalized content as we continue down this development path of a new game ♡

Well, well, well it's the last main member of Qiu's Step 1 crew and what an interesting kid it is. His parents are super rich and he genuinely thinks that being wealthy means his company is inherently more worthwhile than a 'normal' person's presence. I've made good progress on actually implementing the many, many image layers of the new Step 4 character sprite stuff. Before I'd just put together mockups to show Step 4 content. It'll be much easier take and share screenshots now! The last part of the story is truly coming together.

Our Life: Wedding DLC Cove Hairs

We've got the finished version of the wedding hair alts for Cove! He's got his usual four styles, of course, but for the wedding he talks to the MC about actually brushing his hair out for the special occasion, haha. So you'll be able to pick if he uses the default or formal version. I'm curious to see which ones people are gonna end up going for.

Tah-dah! It's the brand new style for the MC dress-up doll. I think it's super precious. There are six skin tones, even though only five are featured here, and several more color options for the hair/eyes/scarf. 

And of course, as time goes on we'll add totally new options than those shown here. You'll be able to choose different face and eye shapes, other types of accessories, extras like freckles/scars/birthmarks, and new hairstyles.
