Witchblade Tribute (Fan Tier)

Something I've wanted to do since I was a kid but never had any real grasp of how I'd do it until recently.  I vividly remember the first time I saw the page this illustration is based on.  I'd been shopping with my family and found a Tomb Raider x Witchblade graphic novel in WHSmiths - being a growing lad I had a fondness for anything Lara Croft related so I begged my Mum to buy it.  She relented and got it for me.

Quick update on billing

Hey guys, 

just a quicky.  Patreon rolled out a subscription billing model a while back and I didn't switch at the time.  I've just done it, so you may (or may not) have had an email about it.  It won't affect you guys at all, you'll still be charged for the subscription on the first of the month, but any new folks will be billed when they sign up, so there's less chance of content scrapers (I've had a few lately and it sucks!)

I've been re-reading the Invincible comics lately and I just kind of had to draw Eve.  There's a canon event midway through the second volume where she's nakey using her powers so this isn't actually that far fetched (spoiler alert for those who have only seen the show)

Here's the colour version!  

Decided to go for a darker and more saturated vibe for this one.  A few different techniques for me, especially in the background rendering, and I'm delighted with the outcome.  It's labour intensive but it could be a fun style to explore more in the future.

Come Exploring? (Fan Tier)

Ok this one's a doozy.  It basically became an extended form of meditative therapy for me over the weekend; I just got SO wrapped up in making the marks and building the forms with line that I just kept going and adding more and more detail.
I did the whole thing in procreate, and apparently it's a little under 13 hours of work and almost 30,000 lines.  It might be the longest I've spent on just linework... ever.

Inspiration wise this is very much an homage to Arthur Adams....

Ok, so IG really didn't like the last version of this, and to be fair, once it'd been up for a few hours I started spotting things I wasn't happy with either... so it was an odd blessing in disguise when IG unceremoniously dumped it off the platform, it gave me an opportunity to fix some stuff, and have a play around with an outfit.

Sorry I've been AWOL

Unfortunately I've had some family stuff come up that I've been dealing with, plus a funeral last week and it's left me pretty low and not much energy.  I do have a couple of pieces still to share, you guys will get to see them in the next week or so (one today in fact) but properly new stuff will be a little farther off just while I deal with what's going on.

Some thoughts and a question

I can't quite believe it, but the first of next month marks my first anniversary on Patreon!

I won't lie, it's not gone the way I'd hoped, but 99% of that is on me and the way my life works at the moment, I own that completely.

So, I have a question.

If I created a new tier for £5 a month and posted EVERYTHING to it, would you guys leave the tiers you're on and join it?

The Oasis v2 (Fan Tier)

Here's the finished piece.  Much much happier with this one overall now.  I might even delete the old version.

The fabric was a huge challenge this time around, I wanted it to be super thin with some transparency but still have enough definition to play around with creases and light hitting different parts of it.  I think it works but as always - it could definitely be better.
