CABINFEVR - Intro mockup

That's right fellas, this is like, WAY off in the distance (After HI-09 at the VERY VERY least), but, for a while now I've been thinking about potentially making a followup to my VR game, PolarDread. Blot Bunny Model

Here's Blot's original, untouched costume model in full detail! Honestly really happy to have a proper design for this costume, as the original used in base-game was simply built for the post-starling model. Being able to see the raw, original design makes seeing what it turned into later on a LOT scarier.

404 Page WIP

I'm deranged, and I hate myself, so I am making a playable 404 page for HI-09!

There's not much too notable here, although callbacks are made to early BSB media, being both the DEAD END stop sign, and the music used in the building! (For those not in the know, every episode of BSB would have had at least one rendition of "You beautiful doll"! We couldn't do that due to Steam but every other entry prior used it at least once!

Dweller AI - WIP 1

Hello everyone! I am going to be taking time today to show you a new breakthrough I've had in regards to the dweller AI within HI-09.

One of the most well known scares within Shipwrecked 64 was the "Border Scares". Olivia and Blot both can peer through the sidebars.  This was one of my most creative ideas and it worked great for Shipwrecked, so I'm sure I can just fit that into HI-09!

HI-09: Giovanni Projector Intro & Interpolation

HI-09 Kill Animation Progression

HI-09's kill animations are handled a lot differently than Shipwrecked's. Back around that time, I used one single kill sound and kinda re-used it for every single character, a 'la Scott Cawthon. In hindsight I feel it was a little lazy and I wanted to step up my approach for HI-09!

HI-09: Olive Photograph (Scrapped)

This isn't gonna be used anywhere in the actual game, but I wanted to share it here because it is CREEPY.

It's meant to be a photograph of Olive Otter taking a photograph with someone named "Mary", a park guest.

I was REALLY proud of this when it was done initially, but it's not being used due to the Mary photo being sampled from a site that doesn't disclose where the photos are from, therefor it isn't free to use. I've blurred the face to be safe, but yeah! here's this!

HI-09: Gavin's CRT videos in HD

A lot of the videos hosted on the "Gavin" channel rely on use of an actual, physical CRT I have in my room, which I will record off of in order to create the videos weird handheld view. Here is all of the uncut videos played on the TV itself! There's a lot of details often lost in the compression. In Olive's scene at the end, I kicked the adapter cable as well, which led to the weird glitchy effects.

HI-09: First location concept art

This admittedly doubled as a bit of a school project, but I used it as a way to plan out my next game, which wound up being HI09! This was in a weird phase where I still wanted Silvertech to be more important in the story, but I wasn't sure how to handle it at first. I think the new draft with how Silvertech works in the story is interesting, but here they would've taken security a lot more seriously.

A lot of areas in HI-09 have inspiration rooted in actual locations within Studiogrounds, and the hotel itself is no exception.

That said I am very, very proud of this particular location so I am going to milk it dry with as many renders as I can LOL

HI-09 Prototype

Originally, before the concept I have now for the game, HI09 had a much more rudimentary gameplay structure. Instead of the camera function, you were basically left on your own. It wasn't that good, therefor i'm not working on it anymore, but it's somewhat interesting!

The new version of HI09 is a LOT better though, I feel.
