ideas for days

Been thinking of this story again. It stands in stark contrast to the SPiKE story in how it's supposed to be a short, light-hearted story that's going easier on the heavy stuff. Where SPiKE feels like bittersweet trauma-therapy, the Jason story is supposed to be fun and encouraging. I guess I'm long overdue a solid break from all the heavy stuff, and I've come a long way on my own healing process, so it's nice to have some side projects that are just fun and wholesome.

When to postpone

Quite often I'll have an idea for a drawing that exceeds my current skill level. Being the stubborn old goat I am I still push myself to try and make it look how I imagine anyways, only to realize that I should just leave it for now and come back to it later someday when I've grown enough to see what's wrong with it and know exactly how to fix it.

This one's been left alone for months, and I kind of love going back to it and knowing a bit more each time of what I'd like to do different ...

Merging

Since my SPIKE burnout, I've felt increasingly bad for not having anything new to show you guys. I've as previously mentioned been very active on the fan art front however, and have decided to make this patreon not just dedicated to my SPIKE project, but all my artwork in general. It feels right, it'll be easier to manage than making a separate one, and there will finally be some visual content on here again. The SPIKE stuff will of course return eventually, I just really need a break from it...

Commission types and prices (updated)

I updated my commission types and price list, since I'm more comfortable with taking commissions again, finally have a system, and also the Twitter community's been asking about them a lot 😅

For now I'll be testing out keeping the booking list open at all times, and instead of closing snd re-opening it just tell my clients the approximate date/month I'm ready to take their commission if/when I have my hands full as I have to prioritize the ones I already have.

TLDR; 

they wanted the story to be more kid-friendly, reduce Charles to a background character and make him "nicer", and push Sam to the front and make him the main character with the story focusing on his crush on Spike and have Spike's trauma be a "mysterious trait" rather than an actual issue.

I disagreed, so I resigned.

They scoffed at my mention of the series' online readership, which pissed me off, and if anything only make me feel more sure that a webc...

Stickers for sale!

Updated the stock (these sold fast!), and I'm working on some ideas and sketches for the new batch of designs :)

I've also made a new set of surprise stickers with a different design for the next round of orders :D

Update;

Had a bit of a burnout, and needed a few weeks to recover, so pardon the absence... I'm back now :)

What is a bit different this time though, is that while I can sketch them fairly fast, they will unfortunately take longer than normal to finish. The reason for this is that I've got to prioritise a children's book I've been hired to illustrate that is due in january, as well as existing commissions I have to finish.
