Ooooo today's tune is pretty cool. It's got some nice ambience and a really cool vibe to it. Very foresty, but could also be great for like an ancient ruin. I really like how it turned out. I've been playing Hollow Knight recently and I think it had an effect on this one lol.
May do some more tunes like this for a week or two, idk. Just depends on how I feel when I get to the writing session really.

Welp, this is it. The last song of the year. Going out on a real simple and peaceful note this time. This tune may not sound like it, but it was very much inspired by Chrono Cross ( the guitar part mainly). It doesn't have that islandy feel though. Happy Friday Party Members!
This track really grew on me. When I got the main structure down, I considered just keeping it purely strings. Then I added the brass...and the harp...and the bells...and the chimes. You get the point.
It turned into something much stronger than I anticipated. I'm particularly fond of the quiet little section at the end. That was a last minute addition to get the song to loop properly, and it may be my favorite part now!

Today's song turned out *really* nice imo. Got into a good groove with this one early, and the ideas just kept on flowing.
One thing in particular that I like about it is that it never really feels too static, even though there are some repeating ideas in there that the whole song was built upon.

Today's tune is a bit different. It's a super ambient/atmospheric track. Not much of a melody or chord progression happening, though some distinct instruments do make appearances here and there. This is the kind of tune you'd hear in modern games when exploring a cave, or as the name suggests, a crypt. It was definitely inspired by Skyrim and those pesky Draugr.
