Back In Business!

Just wanted to give you guys and gals another update on my disappearance.

TLDR: My audio interface (GoXLR) decided to kick the chair away, but thankfully it was just about still in warranty, so I sent it back to be sorted so everything has been on hold since I heard back about it.

Sorry about the radio silence, Myself and Connie have been away enjoying a much needed break away in Poland.
I had a great time thanks for asking, got to see the final of the Driftmasters championship, Met James Deane at the airport, took a tour of a vodka museum, it was tremendous!

I've also had an issue with my audio interface that went from a minor niggle to a catastrophic failure so I've had to send it off for repairs.

Lip Syncing Update

So I've spent the last 3 days experimenting with animation lip-syncing, trying a variety of softwares, mouth shapes and techniques and I've come to the shocking conclusion of... it's still not worth doing.
The only way I can do it and make it look good is still the manual method which would be incredibly time consuming and the very reason why I've avoided doing it all these years in the first place.
I've tried a bunch of automated lip-syncing softwares like Adobe Character Animator an...

Slightly Less Weird

So now that I got the beak moving reasonably well I've added back in some facial expressions to get it closer to what a finished version of it would look like. I still think it looks strange but I can't tell if it's because it is strange, or just that I'm not used to.

Regardless what I do with this new skill, I can't say it's not fun to actually see me looking so animated. It's so horrifying yet so beautiful 😂

Decided to face my fear and have a look into moving the beaks and see if there's a way of doing it without adding days to an already bloated production time.

All I'm doing is experimenting for now but I thought I'd share this from my tests.

I Don't Waste My Evenings...

Needed a retro video game theme for a bit in the next video and got the stupid idea to attempt to remake my outro in 8 bit...or 16 bit....I don't know which of the many bits it actually is.
All I know is it took all the bits of my brain and way longer than it should of to make it.
But I got a passable version of it in the end.

At least I think I did anyway...
Hard to tell, I've listened to it so much that the only thing I'll hear for the next two weeks is my now Sega themed...

Video Progress Update

Just getting to the tail end of making the frames, then gotta record and start the final edit where I take all that I've made over the last few weeks and smash it all together until it resembles a video.
So the finished video shant be much more than a week away at this rate!
