Gods Behave Like Their Makers

For this animation, I had to draw God and Jeffery from many different angles, 3/4, front, side, & back and animate each instance separately, including animating their shadows and reflections. That's part of the reason this one is taking a bit longer.

God's Borders

In this scene, Jeffery explains how man-made cultural boundaries shouldn't affect an omnipresent god, yet they do, thereby making Yahweh seem like every other invented god, who spreads only as the believers spread.

I'm really proud of how this animation is turning out so far. It has the potential to be my strongest work yet, in terms of both animation and rhetoric. God (left) shares his plans with Jeffery (right), but Jeffery already knows. At this point, Jeffery begins to describe some dire flaws with God's plan, beginning with basic geography.

Perhaps due to plain ignorance or emotional bias, many religious folks think and spout divine command theory as if it hadn’t been soundly defeated thousands of years ago. After an argument with Jesus regarding a murderer getting into heaven (while his victim goes to hell), Jeffery is told to resolve the issue with God, but God is indisposed at the time. This scene involves Jeffery's intrusion into God's private affairs, before having a rather involved philosophical debate with God regarding Euthyphro's Dilemma.

Sometimes I think of a little scene that would be funny, so I write it in the script, forgetting to consider how much work it would be. For instance, this scene won't be very long (maybe 20 seconds), but it amounted to a couple days worth of work. Who can guess what's going on in this scene?

Thanks for encouraging me to follow through with that script I posted. The new video saw over a quarter of a million views in less than a week, and brought in over 6,000 new subscribers so far. I've been toiling over the Revelation cartoon much to no avail. I'm not happy with it and I can't in good conscience post something I think is inadequate. So, I've put it on the back burner, in hopes that I'll come up with some ideas in the future that will improve the script.

Over the years, I've gotten a lot of requests to do The Book of Revelation. I think it would take an enormous amount of work to get it right, as it would have so many unique assets. I'd also have to figure out how to "translate" it into a comedic cartoon format. I'm thinking it should start with the writer (the Apostle John, many believe), stumbling into an innocent-looking patch of mushrooms. If I begin writing now, perhaps it could be done around this time next month, but it's still too early ...

The Descent

In this scene, Yahweh's subconscious influence to create the devil is greatly affected by what happens between his father, and the woman in the middle, named Autumn. For this reason, I chose to have the scene in a descending elevator, an "express elevator to hell", if you will. I chose to name her Autumn, because it means "fall". The Devil Takes Shape

In this scene, we see one of the ways Yahweh’s idea for the devil takes shape. I used more symbolism here to convey the message. It’s what actually occurs in this scene, however, that actually shapes what the devil is in the bible. Beyond that, the symbolism isn’t scriptural alone, but cultural too. The Most Famous Convert

Just finished drawing all the assets for my next cartoon. Also, I got some new audio equipment, professional stuff. I got a mixer, condenser microphone, pop filter, and I upgraded my animation software. Thank you all very much for helping me improve my production quality. Instead of my usual crappy audio, it will now be broadcast standard. Unfortunately, despite the upgrades, it's probably not possible for current technology to fully convey the true sexiness of my voice. Apologies.
