This week, I pulled out every single pattern involving feet and had a spring cleaning. I garbaged (or labeled and packed away) the old ones and cleaned up/remade the current ones.
I also rewrote my "cheat sheet" (a diagram of how everything fits together to make a finished paw) as I mentally worked out new and better ways to construct them.

My new tail display holder (for photographs) just arrived and it is awesome! It is very cute, weighted, & can extend taller for longer tails. (the intended purpose is for displaying large wreaths) Should work nicely! :D

Working more on this month's patron video today ^^ this is my view for many more hours than I'd like to admit to ;) I have started watching podcasts Etc on making videos so I hope I can gradually improve my efficiency in how I film & edit. Patrons have already been a great help in improving my finished movie results! All those curious I use PowerDirector 10 to edit and a Hero4 session to film (which I purchased specifically for this purpose after my original GoPro Hero became waterlogged)...

One project over and a new one begins! Now I will be working on making more ears and tails for Halloween/Christmas/Conventions. I'm not sure I can make enough for all of those goals at one time, but I will start with Halloween ^_^

I drew a wolf on some rainbow scratchboard paper and then backed it with cardboard and doodled on that. Fun! I may need to do more of these Approximately 6.5 by 8 inches long. I've always liked this style of super glue for small jobs but the last two I have bought, the nozzle has broken off (the white bit inside the cap)! This container is basically full but now I have no way to close it! I hate throwing away good product :( it has happened so often that a perfectly good product somehow becomes unusable. I have been working on some patron gifts lately! These are pawprints made from masters that I captured myself up in the Canadian north by pouring plaster into prints in the mud.
There is a wolf and just yesterday I made the mold for a black bear cub.
They are cast from resin and then the realistic 'mud' look is made with sand and clear epoxy. (These have already cured overnight and are fully dry). Because of this individual treatment, each one is unique.

I have a couple big cats coming up soon, so I decided to sculpt a new head form for them. This lets me make some updates that should make the resulting heads quicker and more reliable in regards to things like attaching hinges etc, but also gives me a change to add extra facial details (like the fur nostril flaps around the nose leather) that the previous head did not have.

A very unique photoshoot location this month! The inside of an in-ground swimming pool. These photos were all taken after dark, which enabled us to really play with the lighting and shadows and try to put to [digital] film some of what we've learned over the last year.
