Here it is, the first official gameplay peek from Dino Run 2.
Keep in mind this is without lighting effects, weather, NPC dinos, advanced physics events, background dactyls, and all sorts of eventual polish. It's only going to get better from here.
Backers and patrons will have access to this area to experience (and build upon) with friends in the next major update!

Somehow its been almost 3 months since we sent out that last Dino Run 2 sandbox update. A lot has been going on with the dinos, but a few other things happened since then (that positively affect Dino Run 2) that I wanted to let you all know about:

Hello lovely Patrons,
A major update to the playable Dino Run 2 Sandbox is coming up - be on the lookout for it in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, we have also been working on a browser-based arcade of very small games. All paying patrons are going to get ad-free access to all the games, and we are very close to launching it... just need a little more testing on the games themselves.

Hello all, we just updated the Sandbox Alpha with some bug fixes and Quality-of-Life improvements:
- It is now possible to overlap locked objects (level up your decorating game)
- Flipped objects now load correctly (bug fix)
- You can no longer place invisible objects (bug fix)
- Fixed a minor issue with loading unlocked objects on top of existing objects
- Fixed colors on translucent sprites
- Info popup scales with screen

Hello all,
I am extremely excited to present the first actual footage of our work over the past few months, bringing together progress on realtime multiplayer, parallax scrolling, physics & object animation, amongst other things! Some additional notes:
- What you see here is peer-to-peer multiplayer involving a host & guest. They connect to each other using the host's IP address. Both players see the exact same thing (which we could never say about Dino Run 1...)

The bulk of our progress this month has been multiplayer. As stated before this is incredibly important to set up properly at the beginning, since so much else relies on it. We are also writing our own netcode, so we have total control of it for the long term... no dependencies on third-party multiplayer services is a good thing.

Hello Backers,
The last month has been very productive - we've settled into a different version of Unity, a different physics engine and 2 new coders, and have been working on the core physics & dino control experience. The way the raptor (and other dinos) traverse highly irregular terrain is key to the game feels, and we are very excited to have come this far in just a month or so, even with boulder-riding!

Making Dino Run 2 has always been full of twists and turns, and the last few months have been no different. Here are the details:
- Development slowed way down in April, May, June and July. Lack of funding and also lack of direction, trying to figure out how to move forward efficiently.
