Top 5 Games of 2023 - 2nd Place

After days of fighting with unreliable video editing software, 2nd place is FINALLY here. Perhaps it was a mistake editing this at 4k, but I wanted to give the final games in this list a bit more love in terms of quality. Almost included HDR but I assume Patreon has no support for that or 4k video locally yet.

Anyway, this one is a no-brainer for my list as someone who loved the 2005 Original. It's still one of my favorite games ever made. Only natural that the remake would be one of my...

Top 5 Games of 2023 - 3rd Place

Another one hot off the editing press. Something about aliens and space pushes all the right buttons. Especially when they're remakes because the industry is lost and don't know how to make video games anymore...

Anyway, enjoy. Still a bit of a longer one for the sake of wanting to show some of the changes that I thought were cool enough to talk about at least.

Hopefully you guys enjoy. 2 more Left!

Hint For 2nd Place: I have a thing for kicking fools in the face.

Top 5 Games of 2023 - 4th Place

See, they won't let me put a thumbnail on this video yet. So this one is naked just like the previous video. And it's got me all up in my Perfectionist feelings right now.

Or I would be if I actually had a thumbnail to upload... Once again you guys are getting this one hot off the encoder presses.

I made a promise that this one would be shorter than the last one. And then I broke that promise because this one is longer by a minute.

You're welcome to take my entire P...

Just when you thought I wasn't going to tell you what to play... Play this game or I revoke your gamer card and send you back to the gulag!

Video hot off the encoding presses. So hot that I don't even have a thumbnail for it yet!

God of War: Ragnarok - Game of The Year 2022

And here it is! My Game of the Year for 2022. Surprising no one I'm sure, and if you've been following my lists since 2018, it'll surprise you even less. But this and Elden Ring were in a close tie for first place, but Ragnarök edged it out just barely for me.

Anyway, I want to thank everyone for their patience. I know these took a while to finish. I think I have a better understanding and appreciation for publications that do these themselves and show the deliberations that lead...

Elden Ring - GOTY 2022 | 2nd Place

And here's the 2nd Place winner for Game of the Year 2022. Sorry this one took so long. 23 Hours worth of recording footage to put this one together.

From Software games are hard.

That is all.

Kirby and The Forgotten Land - GOTY 2022 | 3rd Place

Let me hit you with this pink squishy thing that likes to SUCC. Kirby makes it into 3rd place for a host of reasons, "fun" being especially important. But tune in if you want to see what else makes this game worthwhile.

Sliding into Mika's Instagram DMs - Cup of Sass 98 (18+)

Not a whole lot to say about this one. This is one of those, you should probably watch to understand it situations. Title speaks for itself, but there's comedy to be had here and maybe some slight educational value in there somewhere...

Anyway, enjoy!

5th Place - Game of the Year 2020

You guys will probably have guessed this one but it deserves accolades for doing what it does better than the games it clearly took a level of inspiration from. This video is a bit on the long side and took way longer to edit than I had originally planned. So moving forward, the other 4 videos will be much shorter than this one.

Well... except maybe first place. We'll see. Anyway enjoy and let me know what you guys think either in the comments here on Patreon or Discord. Thank you for ...

Review Score System

With the release of my first actual video game review (although you could probably count my GOTY stuff as reviews if you want to split hairs) I'm sure the are some of you wondering just what the score system is for my reviews. The Score System is a 5 point system and each score is ranked as follows:

  • 1 out of 5 = Bad
  • 2 out of 5 = Mediocre
  • 3 out of 5 = Average
  • 4 out of 5 = Good...

Resident Evil 3 Remake Video Review

So I finally mustered the confidence to start attempting video reviews for games. It's been a long time coming but here we are.

I was still sitting on a bunch of recorded RE3 Remake footage from my very first stream of the. Figured it was time to finally put that to use and made it my first game review. Enjoy!

Also if you're curious about what the review score system looks like, please refer to this post:  View Post

Google Stadia Review Delay

Quick update on the Stadia Review. Right now I'm in the process of trying to get an HDMI Splitter that can remove HDCP from the Chromecast. This is imperative to being able to capture footage from it with my capture card. Without it, I'm kinda forced to capture from a browser window which just isn't ideal for quality purposes.

Once I get the equipment I need, the review will commence and as always, you guys will have first access to the review once its done! Stay tuned and thanks for yo...

As funny as it would be to have the sound of hammers in the background of the video, its kinda hard to work around that. Video should be up for everyone on Sunday!

This week's edition of The Rundown

Assassins! This week's edition of The Rundown is being postponed until next week. I'm currently in the process of making some improvements to the production values of the videos themselves to make them feel a bit more professional than they have in the past.

This was something that was bothering me for a long while as I was making them. Hopefully these changes will be immediately present in the next edition.
