I seem to distinctly remember Nele saying something about curiosity and cats last time she woke up in this den ...

Tobur was bound to wake up eventually, though with this particular action it really is no surprise. Those of you who are pet owners will know the distinct feeling of a paw rearranging your face until you get up to provide the daily sustenance or let them out for morning business.

Again, a fun page to do and test some anatomy. Probably the first time I took no artistic license or stylization to Tobur's teeth for simplicity. Admitedly though, they are kind of the centerpiece of today's page, so it'd be sorta weird to undercut that with simplification. For those nature fans out there who want to have it really, really spot on though I will admit that, given Tobur's age, they should likely be a slight bit more worn.

Fun wildlife fact; you can measure the age of most animals by taking a look at their teeth and checking how much they've been worn down. Wolves are an especially good example, as the older speciemens (10+ years) tend to have canines worn down to half their original size and molars almost down to their gum line - imagine that.

I forget exactly which set of music I was listening to again, but I'm pretty sure this was where I started going back into my electronica phase with the two Azax Syndrom vs. Bliss Albums - I know that's what I was listening to while working on the pages following this one, and as I'm currently trying to push two pages a week, it stands to reason.

There's a few background thoughts as to why Nele feels it's necessary to take such an up close look at what she essentially considers to be her most likely end ... or used to anyway. I'm not going to be discussing that particular aspect just yet, because Nele and Tobur still have some dialogue to work through, but I'm sure you folks have plenty of theories as to what's going on in our little bunny protagonists head ;3

As I said in comments on the previous page though; how many more chances is she going to get to look a red fox up and down for all the details?
