The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 07/March/2025
Added 2025-03-07 14:00:12 +0000 UTCAfter finishing a lot of the complicated game mechanic/dialogue scenes last week, it was nice to work on a lighter ‘in between’ scene this week!
This chapter and the last have done a lot of setting up and explaining of what’s coming and how the player’s choices are going to play into it as the game progresses.
But this scene I got to get some love interest interactions in during it which is always a favourite, hehe! :D
I also took a day to finally answer asks! Yay! It was really nice to spend some time chatting about Wayhaven and getting excited about what’s to come…while getting a bit spoilery with some replies because I just couldn’t help myself, lol!
The ending of this chapter is actually a big split scene depending on a major choice made just before the endings. I’m going to work completely through one ending before jumping onto the other, as this will help keep it easier in my brain! :D
These endings are HEAVY on the romance, and I’m intensely excited to write them. Especially as one variation uses on of my favourite tropes! It’s also going to be the first ‘romance connection’ scene for those who have followed the Li-Sar romance…that’s going to be interesting to write, hehe! ;D

A buzz that's not caused by my magic suddenly shivers in my head.
"How about you go to sleep?" Mason/Morgan asks the man, pressing a finger to the victim's temple. His eyes fall closed as he lolls to one side.
I rarely see the vampires use their pheromones. My eyes widen as I remember just how effective they can be.

Quick question! So…I haven’t played through my M route in book 3 yet (I’m trying to savor it to tide me over until book 4’s release 😊), but is there another instance where MC is impacted by M’s pheromones BESIDES the patrol scene in book 1? I just know we can end up romancing M even if we patrol with another member of Team Bravo, and this scene seems like it happens whether or not you patrolled with M as long as you’re on M’s romance.
