I genuinely wasn't consciously trying to imitate a certain shocked electric rodent, but after choosing that face for a preview image, I can't unsee it.
Commentary
- Diane finding out about Grace's magic dreams
I originally figured I'd draw Diane dressed up like classic Sherlock Holmes (the most iconic version of him, anyway), but I wasn't really excited about it. I was just going with him as a visually recognizable detective.
Then I had the thought of ANOTHER visually recognizable detective, and THAT was Conan from Detective Conan / Case Closed.
Granted, plenty of people aren't going to know who that is, but I wanted to draw her like that, and so I did, and I really like it, and part of me wants to give her hair like that all the time now, and so on, and so forth.
