Litchi: Use game accurate sprites or resized ones?

I started work on Litchi today and I noticed something looked off about her sprites. They seemed oddly pixellated, not as smooth as Noel/Makotos, and kind of grainy, so I went to go find another source for her sprites:
Left is the original, unaltered sprites, and the right are what the MUGEN version is using. I have no idea if i'm right but it looks like the creator shrunk her sprites down for some reason instead of just scaling them with the engine.
Obviously the original ones are better, but i'd figure I'd ask you guys if you'd be okay with me using those instead of the shrunken ones that are being used with the character currently.
The reason for this is that if I do use the originals, I will have t o replace all of her sprites and animations to suit the bigger hit boxes that would be needed, so completing her will take longer as a result. Using the smaller version would be faster but fine details like facial expressions would become several times harder to work on. Let me know what you think!

If you are unbothered by the additional time to create a higher quality product, I see no reason not to do that, especially if we pay by a per-update system as opposed to a monthly system--we only pay when you deliver. I think that gives you any and all justification to use your time as you see fit.
