Public Demo 2 v2 (Update) + Poll

The build for Public Demo 2 v2 is now pretty much complete.
That loot table update thing was indeed quite important because now taking the risk of going to Radar is definitely more rewarding and it's quite logical that you can find medical items on medical cabinets etc.
I still need to polish few things but the major time concern that I currently have is making that Public Demo 2 v2 YT video + recording the gameplay clips for it etc.
If I release the demo with that video, it's probably going to end up for Tuesday but I was wondering that maybe I can deviate a little from my normal release process and release the demo day before that video. This way I could have the demo released tomorrow and keep that end of the month schedule and the video maybe for Tuesday or Wednesday (if there's no hotfixes needed)
What do you think about this approach?

I wholeheartedly back this sentiment. The project doesn't need to win over the Patreon members, it needs to sell itself and cater to the 95% of the audience which is on Steam. All those people see is "a delay" without any explanation since there aren't any development posts on Steam.

2024-09-30 08:00:15 +0000 UTCi had to delete my comment to ask one Question. Are you Guys fucking insane? The latest Youtube Vids had a pretty low Viewerbase compared to the fist Videos. The Majority of Gamers is following the Game through Steam. A Platform where Antti is posting effing nothing. And it's on us to explain the People another delay. Not on you Guys, posting and voting on some Patreon Posts every now and then. No it's on us ... the hard working Community that supports RtV on every Plattform, even if Antti isn't there to answer questions. Even if we wait for the Video Release a majority of the Playerbase don't know about the Demo because they don't follow the Youtube Channel. I always was there to support the Patreon Community. Said that you should listen to them when it comes to the development of RtV. But at the moment ... i don't know what to say .... it seems like Patreon Community just turned into some weirdos. I'm sorry, i don't want to make a big Drama, neither i want to flame you guys, but Patreon turned into a shitshow praising everything Antti decides, i already noticed that in the last Dev Builds.

2024-09-29 20:07:00 +0000 UTCI'd also would take the approach Tobias already shared, if u release it tomorrow, you should make a short announcement video that also informs the people who wait for the devlog that it will release in a few days. If not, just release it together, either way I think I can speak for everyone when Im sayin that we all are egerly waiting, and are happy with whatever dicision you take ^^

If you release Monday, I'd release a small, 30 second or less video saying "Demo is out, full trailer tomorrow, go play" so that the bulk of your audience isn't late a day. Should only take a few moments to slap that together, I'd think. If you aren't willing to do that, do the Tuesday combo release imo.
