Hey all!
Back with another progress update. The tl;dr is I'm still splitting part of the game, core animation loop almost done for pink slime lady, updated dialogue faces and more art progress.
Most of the time has been spent doing the DLC split. Everything from quests, the player character and her systems and sprites/animations, NPC logic, entity logic and animations, and much more. There isn't much fun to show off here, which is why I've delayed this progress update and done some more work to make it more interesting.
- I re-did the dialogue faces so now they're 2x the original resolution.
- I've been working on a slit-dress outfit that I might make the default one. This is mostly done for the idle/movement sprites, but is not yet done for the spell casting sprites. I've also been experimenting with a shorts and crop top outfit.
- The player Idle and Run sprites have had some small adjustments - thicker legs and a slight height increase - more small changes will likely follow, but it's not a priority.
- Both internal animations have been redone and now they're partially VFX (shader code) which makes them easier to change if I want to make future improvements.
- The Pink Slime Lady has her core animation basically done, some small touch-ups needed before I move on to the sub-variations. She's closest of the two new entities to being done right now. The level design for the Deep Maze she's in is also in progress, I'm blocking out the maze-like design of the zone and testing it out.
- Other than that, the project page is being worked on - I've done a project capsule/thumbnail in a way that hopefully should make it easier to use across platforms. I'll have to redo some gameplay GIFs once the slit-dress is done, but it won't be too much work. Then I'll have to write the text for the project page.
