A few "lost" images...

Shot in St. Louis at like 1:00AM, this entire set with Abbi was long since lost in a drive crash. The censored versions of a few popped up in a "Facebook Memory" today, so I downloaded them.

I have not been posting enough "first look" sets, I think, so today here is a set with Kaylee I shot this summer in San Juan PR at Photographika Studios. This is the first time I've posted them anywhere – so I hope you like them!

Glam throwbacks to 11 years ago...

These were done in Dallas, at a studio that has long since shut down. Was a cool spot though!

The shots? Some decent ones in the mix, that I still like, but also some that I don't and I can tell how I was still sorting out what I wanted to do (in shooting and editing). Still, wanted to share!

Here's a shot from a project I did a few weeks ago. And I'm very excited because this set and some others that I did are some of the most unique work I've done in a while. Very inspiring to me. Can't wait to share everything else.

Sunrise on Oahu...

So after going down to the islands for a job (that took all day) on the following two days in Honolulu, I tried to schedule some creative projects. Time was against me, and scheduling was a trick, so in the end, I ended up doing two sunrise shoots mere hours before my flight back home midday.

Recently in studio, working in minimalist monochrome as I really enjoy doing.

Today, in a couple hours, I will be going to give a workshop here in Houston, which I'm super excited about. My tour is really shaping up quite nice and I will be bringing my curriculum all around the U.S. and if things go as I am planning –– even back to international classes by 2026 too.

Purple + typography with Lindsey...

When I first started shooting sensual portraiture almost 15 years ago, one of the first things I started doing was incorporating graphical elements, especially typography, into my edits because I was a graphic designer for many, many years.

Over time, I started getting away from doing that, and in 2020, I dropped using a watermark of my logo and all that, too.

But I kind of enjoy it, and I've been doing it more and more of late, and exploring more stylized edits. Definitely have...

Late night shooting in a dim hallway with the lit bathroom in the distance using whatever ISO was necessary and a wide-open 85mm. Alexis absolutely killed the vibe and I, for one, love this while energy and style.

One thing I've always enjoyed doing is exploring mood and moment without the confines and limitations of camera settings or clarity or anything of that nature that normally a lot of photographers pay attention to. That's not to say that shooting with this approach is somehow new or something that I came up with. Absolutely not. But it's fun, and liberating, when the subject and set are just right for the approach.
