Summer 2019 Podcast Early Access
So my new system for weekly videos will continue to make highly edited scripted content for the first three weeks of the month. But the last week of each month I decided to just release the podcast rather than the podcast and another video like I've been doing. So now Patron credits and early access will be added to the podcast to make up for only 3 scripted videos being made per month. So you still see 4 videos per month just now 1 is the podcast ontop of all the episodics I make. This is wa...
2019-07-29 17:56:38 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video is a dive into the second season of one of my favourite Netflix series, Aggretsuko and its second season. This was a really fun video to make as when I first made a video on the first season I thought it was fantastic- but where the two new characters this season went really took my breath away. It's an analysis breaking down the complexity to this seasons writing and how even though it's equally funny to the first season, the real star is how great the character writing is....
2019-07-21 19:31:12 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video is a fun review on last season’s surprise hit, Isekai Quartet. This was one of the more fun reviews to make since not only is it a crossover that somehow worked with 4 different series, all the series in question are at the very least decent. Meaning diving into the fundamentals of this anime provided for both a fun script to craft and fun visuals to edit. I think the review does a great job capturing why this anime is so worthwhile as it captures the beauty in a detailed ...
2019-07-14 18:31:46 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's review is a full review on the past two season's hit show, Dororo. This anime is one of the more morally complex tales anime has seen in quite some time so it was fun to do a review on such a complex tale. It was fun diving into all the elements that made Dororo what it was in a non-spoiler way that hopefully those on the fence will watch the review and check out the anime soon after hearing me sing its praise. While for those who did complete it will hopefully see a nice detailed...
2019-07-07 22:45:19 +0000 UTC View PostNext video is season roundup. It will be going up next Wednesday(new season release date for all weekly videos). This was a really fun season of quality over quantity so I took the time to expand my thoughts on each entry more than seasons with a shit ton of shows that I need to gloss over. People moaned this season was dry but there was a dozen of great shows if people broadened their horizons. I also have my loot crate plug at the end of this episode which I got a bitching EVA shirt so good...
2019-06-27 00:42:35 +0000 UTC View PostThis Sunday's video is one I'm very excited to release, it's my journey with Jojo. I've enjoyed Jojo from parts 1-5, with each part my love has grown for the series. But I've never been hyped like the fandom generally comes across. That was until Golden Wind. This video goes over my experience from part 1 all the way to part 5 and why Golden Wind made me a true Jojo fan. It's more of a review on Golden Wind then anything using the other parts as lead up to the main chunk of the video. This wa...
2019-06-19 17:32:21 +0000 UTC View PostThis Sunday's video will be on the depressing journey that is Welcome to the NHK. An anime I can only watch every few years because of how it emotionally breaks me feeling so empty upon completion. Every single time. The video is pretty interesting compared to a lot of my analysis videos as like with recent series such as Madoka, it's a spoiler filled video but really dives into those personal details I find most channels don't touch on that I find incredibly important. It's such an impactful...
2019-06-12 23:51:39 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video will be on what I consider to be isekai's best, Shield Hero. Basically it's an analysis on why I adore Naofumi's character and how his many ranges of emotions bring a story that easily could be forgettable into something truly remarkable. Source material readers love their angry and one note Naofumi, but the anime is what took a forgettable character and made him feel human really giving this dead genre a bit of life. It's a fun video that I think captures everything I love ...
2019-06-03 17:04:03 +0000 UTC View PostNext week's video(taking this week off) is an analysis on Madoka Magica. It's a really fun video that I'm putting the final touches on now which goes over why I adore the series so much. I break down the themes of isolation and loneliness while also highlighting why the show is surprisingly hopefully in a dreadful sort of way. It's a script that just kind of clicked and came together rather organically. Editing anything Madoka is generally fun as the visual spectacle to it allows for some fun...
2019-05-23 12:43:49 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video is a review on one charming anime about a skeleton working at a bookstore. What made this a great watch and series to review is how at first glance it's pretty easy to explain what the series is about, but as you watch more you notice a lot of really interesting areas from its production to characters that really sell it as something special. This was a fun video to script and edit as the unique style it brings to the table made for an easy project but one that was quite sat...
2019-05-13 18:35:20 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's review is on the hit film Your Name. I loved the film when it first aired but I hate reviewing popular anime movies till the hype has died down. I've re-watched it a fair amount of times but even after all this time I still view it as some of anime's best and a personal favourite of mine. Being able to dive into such an impressive production and highlight everything that makes this film great in my own way I really think will let people love this review. I think's it's incredibly ...
2019-05-06 19:19:56 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video is a review on The Quintessential Quintuplets. This was one of the biggest surprises for me last season as finally a harem that was worthwhile popped up in an anime season that wasn't Monogatari. What made this such a fun series was each of the girls felt like people with polish to their character writing, and the main character had a pretty interesting reason for being around them as their tutor being paid by their rich father. As they all grew with the MC the reasons for t...
2019-04-30 01:25:29 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video is a dive into one of my favourite series of the previous season. At first glance the show appears to just be a slice of life about an owner and his cat but there's a surprising amount of depth to the character development and not just with the owner but the cat as well. As the series goes about directing it from both their points of view which allows for both emotional and hilarious moments. The goal for this video was to really highlight how the concept of family was explo...
2019-04-22 22:48:46 +0000 UTC View PostNext week's video is a dive into Mob Psycho 100 which goes over why season 2 turned the series into something truly special. The video goes over how the characters really grow up from Mob to even Dimple and how it took a great season 1 and turned season 2 into a masterpiece while also fleshing out the prior season. I think the video turned out quite well and gets across why growing up is such an important theme to the series and anyone who enjoys Mob should appreciate the analysis. And hopefu...
2019-04-11 18:59:02 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's video is a season review on the hit horror/thriller anime 'The Promised Neverland'. Pretty much the goal for the review was to break down why it's a near perfect anime for how I wanted this horror series to turn out and it was a fun video to edit due to its unique directing. It's a scary as hell anime because jump scares aren't the focus but physiological horror is, and alongside the characters the viewer also feels freaked out. Past dumb manga fans who don't understand what adapt...
