Basically what I wanted to do with this video was explore what makes the comedy and formula to this show work so well. A really personal series for me which the video tackles the theme of communication the film explores and how it portrays bullying and how people can and should grow from their mistakes. Maquia Early Access

The fact that it took me 8 renders to get this pass copyright detection makes me laugh and cry as this was also the hardest video to script on top of being the hardest video to get uploaded. Enjoy. 

Update on this week's video

Sunday the Maquia analysis was supposed to go up, still hoping it will. But because it's a widely known film copyright detection is a lot tougher so I'm having to re-render and trying new things time and again. I'm on my 6th attempt, it's a bitch to get uploaded. I'll get it eventually I just don't know if I will by Sunday. If I don't I'm taking this week off and we will return to normal scheduling after. 

Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms

Next video will be on Maquia, the movie from Mari Okada which was her directorial debut thanks to PA Works allowing her to jump from writer to director(she did both for the film). This is a 100% Okada anime and for those who have seen her prior works, which there are many, a lot tend to make you cry most notably for me, Anohana. It's an analysis video on Eiji and Ash but goes over the entire anime, but I express why I think those two characters truly are what make the anime special. So this week's video is a review of Iroduku which was an anime that aired in the Fall 2018 season. PA Works is one of my favourite studios especially when it comes to their original projects and generally character dramas they hit it out of the park with. Spoilers I thought they did here. Golden Kamuy Seasons 1 & 2 Review

Next video will be a double season review for Golden Kamuy. One of my top picks from 2018. This was a pretty fun review to make as it's such a wild series that does so much. So to find a way to review it in a concise and not overly lengthy manor was a bit of a challenge, but once the review was done made it quite rewarding. Hoping everyone will enjoy it as I had a lot of fun creating it. Hoping early access will be up sometime tomorrow night.

Next video will be on SSSS.Gridman which was a fun one to make as the intro goes over my love for Power Rangers & Big Bad Beetleborgs which both used licensed footage to create their western Tokusatsu show. Basically it's a review of Gridman but highlights how it became the show I always wanted where it blends the Tokusatsu charm with well written characters and a story that isn't overly cheesy like how Tokusatsu series are generally presented. I'll have early access up tomorrow sometime....

2018 Anime List

So I made a video going over my favourite shows from all 4 seasons. I start from winter and work my way down to fall and somehow without trying the video came out to a top 30 without me even noticing. This was a pretty big video to make due to all the pieces that went into it, though the ending of the video still cracks me up as it's funny. It's that time of the year again where I take a look at everything I watched and give my mini-review/recap for each anime.
