A busily bustling river runs below this old stone bridge, flanked by a pair of towers with a walkway up above, where wardens of the realm monitor the comings and goings into the lands, though this peaceful country crossing has seen little more than traveling merchants, farmers passing to and fro on market day, and perhaps the occasional band of adventurers.
I've been in the mood to expand a bit on the simple, run of the mill map ideas of a simple fantasy setting. I'm brin...

It's been a couple weeks and we've got some great suggestions for the mega map. I've added each suggestion to the poll (I combined a few similar ones because we hit the maximum entry limit!), and I'd like to see what you all want the most. Here are the suggestions in the order in which they were received. I think a poll of what you're all interested in would be great feedback on the sorts of maps I can produce in the future.
Happy voting!

Well, we hit our goal! As promised, I'd like to do a 2-part map, a large piece that fits together for a good long session of adventuring. I considered making a poll with a handful of options, but I was thinking I would like to get some suggestions from you all first.
What type of game are you playing or running? Got an encounter coming up or a villain that needs a lair?
Leave a comment of what you think would be a cool idea and I'll add it to the poll for the coming mo...

Wealthy nobility love to install these strange gardens on their estates, supposedly as places of contemplation, distraction, or purely for the bragging rights such a luxury provides, though many use them as hiding places for wine-sodden nights with the other lords and ladies. Others use them for games and sport, secreting an item somewhere in the maze, and very occasionally, as secret entrances or exits to clandestine parts of their fine manors. This one though, is just for entertainment ...

So, it's probably obvious that I've been playing a little too much Sekiro lately, but that game is gorgeous and full of inspiration for a mapmaker.
This week, I wanted to make a piece inspired by some of those paths, but that might also function as a companion piece to the Mountain Ambush map I'd put up last month.
I hope you all enjoy!

I wanted to try my hand at another region map, and I really enjoyed drawing this one. This simple keep is an excellent location for a stop along the road for any adventure, and perhaps with enough goings-on for a bit of drama and side questing as well. If nothing else, it can serve as a nice place to recover, buy a tankard, and buy and craft some magic items, and check the notice board for a new quest to embark on. Just make sure the rogue doesn't get too antsy and attempt to "borrow" a few c...

This old and storied castle provides a welcome and imposing sight to newcomers. Once a seat for military might and garrisons of soldiers, it has long since given up such pretense. Now, it is transformed into a lush and grandiose home of the local nobility, with carefully manicured pathways and a fine stone statue of the house's patron who oversees garden parties more often than troops these days. And yet, should the need arise, the gates can be shut, the walls manned, and the battlements ...

Well, it took some doing, but I was able to recover my hard drive (now with a fresh copy of Windows 10, thanks to you all!) and get access to my files eventually. So, enjoy this mountainside ambush map, complete with PNG files of a few traps to throw at your adventuring party (for patrons).

Some of you may have noticed that my maps came later than usual this month. As it happens, I have the last map of the month which I intended to release today ready to go, but my operating system hard drive chose today to give up the ghost. I'm putting this post in as a placeholder for the month, and will post the map as soon as I get access to it again, hopefully very soon.
Sorry for the delay, and I hope to be back with you all very soon!

This moonlit Feast Hall has fallen on ill times indeed, but not as ill as its last batch of guests. This macabre spectacle tells a story of its own, while raising a handful of questions to boot. What terrible catastrophe befell these people? An ancient curse? Conspiring noble...

Stepping into this establishment, it becomes quickly apparent how it earned its seedy reputation. Apart from the copious mugs of ale covering the sticky tabletops and shadowy figures with fistfuls of playing cards, a crack splits the air. You turn your head, thinking to find a broken chair, or a shattered bottle of wine, but instead the sound seems to have issued from the skull of some poor lout being dragged out of the ring, slumped and unconscious. You've heard of tavern brawls before, ...

I'd like to hear from you all, what are you doing in your games? What kind of assets would be helpful? Are you running wilderness encounters, fights in the desert, climbing cliff faces, or spelunking into the underdark?

A small, secluded cave peeks from the side of a snowswept mountain, with no hint of the heroic battle that long ago took place in its gloomy hall. Dried bones litter the floor, clutching ancient, rusty weapons and primitive armors of some barbaric tribe. Men, orcs, or undead - it is difficult to tell now what these desiccated remains once were, but how they met their fate can be read clearly in the razor-clean cuts through metal and bone on the bodies they left behind, and in the peaceful...
