A bit late for this step by step (and some others I guess), the cool thing is you got all the color process with it! The main point being the 3 separated layers for the shading.
Also, my bad, I discovered something silly: The guy has a touch of color for his eyes and his hair + beard. I totally forgot them on the coloring done for the second comicbook! It doesn't show much but now that I know, I can't!
Next step: playing with the product designs with this illustration. Should be fun!

I really liked the character in this pose, plus I made him with no background. So It gave me the idea to use it as a design for my shop clx.threadless.com Transparent background means it blends perfectly in his shape with any color (depending on the taste of each people of course).
I had to give it a color variation. I pictured his outfit to be white, but as the background on products like mug, or basic t-shirts can be white, I went for a slight variation on the whites, heh! What do you think?...

Back to a highly detailled version of the 3 separated stages I use to render this gorgeous hunk. 3 different hardness starting with medium, then light and finally dark one. Each time I finish the latest, this guy just pop up, like for real: the muscles are perfectly shaped like in 3D hehe!
It's such a pleasure to draw the man, and the panel I'm working on lately proves it once more. :-)
No need to say I take lots of fun playing around with his face expressions, as page 5 showed!

Freshly finished with the colors! Posting it right away for you guys: the first fanart you chose :-)
I won't lie: I took much more time on this than expected, totally carried away with the hair, suit details, plus the full coloring. Very happy with the result as I was not that convinced at the sketch stage (happens often!). Expect a step by step for sure, lots of work here!

Obviously I gave lots of attention to the gun: not used to draw such weapons, it was interesting to figure out how to draw & render it with my characters.
Lately I noticed I tend to supersize the hands, more than before. Dunno why, probably when the hands have a specific use or expression.

Still love this one so much. The best move was to get rid of the not so great inked shading to go back to pure lines and add solid colors.
This rendering will work perfectly with a comic. We'll see that next year! ;-)

I had this animation in mind for a while, and when I saw my friend Patrick Fillion publish an animated variation of one of his cool drawings, I knew I had to do it!
It's pretty simple: only 2 frames, and fooling with the timing and the layers in Photoshop, hehe! Originally it was planned to be hairy, but it takes so much time, I rather focus on the animation instead. Maybe later, maybe colors, maybe step by step. ;-)

That's an example of me seeing this panel like oh it's gonna be quick, no big deal with the sand view, the only difficulty being the pose, hands on knees. Then I start drawing and realize there's like A LOT of background with that angle, the pose is really tricky and suddenly I decide to go for another step by step with it, scanning and compositing each phase.

So happy to announce the very first LUST comicbook is back in store at the french LGBT bookstore in Paris "Les Mots à la Bouche". AND that the second issue just arrived today from the printer, so it's about to be available there too! The very good news is the 1st book sold very well there, yay!
I will own my copies of LUST #2 later in november, so I'll be able to sell & sign it to any happy new reader, hehe!
